On 10/1/18 at approximately 8:50 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 4.5 on Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County, 80422. The driver was issued a summons for driving under revocation as a result.


On 10/1/18 at approximately 10:46 a.m., a deputy responded to 16 Dory Circle, Black Hawk CO, 80422 on the report of a harassment via phone. A report was taken.


On 10/1/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119. The driver was later found to have a revoked license. The driver was issued a summons to appear in court and the vehicle was released to a passenger who had a valid driver’s license.


On 10/2/18 at approximately 7:02 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop near the 400 block of Gregory Street in Central City, CO, 80427. As a result, a summons was issued to the driver for displaying fictitious number plates.


On 10/2/18 at approximately 8:08 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Main Street and Miners Mesa Road in Black Hawk, CO, 80422. As a result, a summons was issued to the driver for driving under revocation.


On 10/2/18 at approximately 10:17 a.m., a deputy responded to mile marker 6.5 on the Central City Parkway, in unincorporated Gilpin County 80422, on a report of a motor vehicle accident. A report was taken.


On 10/2/18 at 1:38 p.m., a deputy was notified of stolen property that occurred at the Gilpin County Public Works building.


On 10/2/18 at approximately 8:30 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrant.


On 10/3/18 at approximately 9:15 a.m., a female party arrived to the Gilpin County Courtroom with an active warrant.


On 10/31/8 at approximately 9:30 a.m., a male party arrived to the Gilpin County Courtroom with an active warrant.


On 10/3/18 at approximately 6:25 p.m. a male driver was issued a proof of service because his driving status was suspended for financial responsibility.


On 10/4/18 a party was cleared at the justice center for work at the justice center, the party was found to be under restraint. A proof of service was issued.


On 10/5/18 at approximately 11:35 a.m., it was reported that a female party who was currently in the Gilpin County courtroom had an active arrest warrant through Lakewood Municipal Court for Failure to Appear on a Shoplifting charge. The warrant was confirmed through the Gilpin County Communications Center and she was arrested and processed into the jail without incident.


On 10/5/18 at approximately 2:04 p.m., the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office took a report of an aggravated robbery. The incident was reported to have occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. earlier that morning at the Central City Overlook, located at Hooper Street and Virginia Canyon Road. Approximately $700-$800 dollars in cash was stolen from the victim. The suspects were reported as 3 middle aged Hispanic men driving a black/dark colored Denali/Tahoe SUV. A report was taken, and an investigation ensued.
On 10/5/18 at approximately 3:48 a.m., a male party came to the Gilpin County Justice Center to post bond for an individual in custody. During a routine clearance of his driver’s license status, it was found to be canceled/denied from 7/9/18 to indefinite for a judgement action. The license was returned to the Department of Revenue. The male party was issued a proof of service and advised to refrain from driving.


On 10/5/18 a deputy responded to the Century Casino, on the report of a theft. A suspect has yet to be identified.


On 10/6/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid drivers license and was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 10/6/18, at approximately 10:57 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy performed a welfare check on an unattended vehicle located at the lower Greek lots in the incorporated City of Central, Gilpin County, CO, 80427. The deputy checked the area and located a male party in the woods in the area of Nevadaville and Academy Street. The deputy contacted and cleared the male party through dispatch and he was found to have a warrant. The male party was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail without incident.

On 10/6/18 at approximately 5:45 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Central City. The deputy learned that the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured and the driver’s license was revoked. The driver was issued a summons to appear in court and given a courtesy ride to his residence in the county.

0n 10/6/18 at approximately 6 p.m., a deputy working at the Gilpin County Jail located in unincorporated Gilpin County, 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, CO, 80422, found a hat, and booked it in to evidence as found property.

On 10/6/18, a Deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville. The driver was later arrested for DWAI.

On 10/7/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for no registration. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license and was issued a summons.

On 10/7/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for not yielding to her emergency vehicle on another traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid driver’s license.

On 10/7/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle in the 3000 block of Highway 119 for expired plates and equipment violations. The driver was found to have his driving privileges cancelled. He was issued a summons and the vehicle was released to a valid driver that was inside the vehicle.

On 10/7/18 a deputy contacted a vehicle in the Grand Z Casino Parking Garage. A male party was later arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

On 10/08/18 a deputy responded to a structure fire. The fire was determined to be accidental.


On 10/8/18 a deputy completed a certified VIN inspection for a resident.


On 10/9/18 at approximately Noon, members of the Gilpin County Sheriff
s Office conducted a civil stand by in the area of the 5900 block of Virginia Canyon, a repossession of a camper.


On 10/10/18 at approximately 8:14 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in approximately the 1800 Block of the Central City Parkway, located in the incorporated City of Central City, CO, 80427. A case report was later completed.


On 10-10-18 at approximately 2:49 p.m., a deputy responded to a home in Central City. The party informed the deputy that he had sold a vehicle and forgot to take off the plates.


On 10/11/18, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a Sheriffs deputy found US currency at the Sheriffs Office and processed it into evidence as found property.


On 10/11/18, a vehicle was damaged in the parking lot of the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office.


On 10/11/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72, in Pinecliffe. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.


On 10/12/18 at approximately 2:11 a.m., deputies responded to the Grand Z casino on the report of a cell phone theft. The items taken were later located and returned to the owner and the suspect in the case was issued a summons.


On 10/12/18 at approximately 8:55 a.m., a deputy investigated mailboxes that were damaged on South Beaver Rd.

On 10/12/18 at approximately 9 a.m., a male inmate currently in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an active out-of-county warrant.

On 10/12/18 at approximately 12:28 p.m., Gilpin County Sheriffs Office the received a report of a vehicle fire at MM 2 on the Central City Parkway. A Deputy responded and was soon followed by Central City Fire Department. A small grass fire began next to the burning vehicle but was quickly extinguished. Once the vehicle was extinguished, it was towed. The cause of the fire was undetermined.

On 10/12/18 a female party arrived in the Sheriffs Office lobby to turn herself in on a warrant. A deputy located an active warrant. The female party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant.

On 10/12/18 at approximately 6:34 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in Black Hawk on the report of a disturbance. A male party was later placed into custody for harassment and criminal mischief.

On 10/12/18 deputies responded to the Prospectors Run Townhomes in Central City, on the report of a male party pointing a gun at another party. A male party was later arrested for felony menacing.

On 10/13/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was arrested for a DUI and a passenger was arrested on a warrant.

On 10/13/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was arrested for DUI and a passenger was arrested on a warrant.

On 10/13/18 at approximately 11:25 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy performed a traffic stop at approximately mile marker 21.7 on Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County, CO. An occupant of the vehicle provided false information to the deputy and was found to be violating a mandatory protection order. The suspect was identified, arrested, and transported to the Gilpin County Jail without incident.


On 10/13/18 a phone report was taken of the unlawful use and or manufacturing of a financial transaction device. The case is active and still under investigation.


On 10/14/18 at approximately 1:26 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy performed a traffic stop in the 300 block of Lawrence ST in Central City CO, 80427. The driver of the vehicle was found to be driving on a suspended CO Driver License and was issued a summons.


On 10/14/18 at approximately 1:35 p.m., deputies responded to the Chase Gulch Reservoir, Central City, Colorado, 80427, on the report of a motor vehicle which had ran off the road. A report was taken.

On 10/14/18 the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office received a REDDI report in the area of Eureka Street and Mack Road in Central City, CO, 80427. Deputies responded and located a disabled vehicle in the 700 block of Eureka Street. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI and the passenger of the vehicle was arrested for a restraining order violation. The vehicle was impounded due to the amount of damage to the vehicle.


On 10/14/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons for no insurance and displaying a fictitious temporary license plate.


On 10/15/18 at approximately 9:15 a.m., an individual checked into court security that was found to have active warrants. The individual was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.


On 10/18/18 at approximately 12:50 p.m. deputies responded to a location in south county and encountered a female party in apparent violation of a protection order. A warrant for her arrest was later pursued.

On 10/15/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 7500 block of Highway 119 for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was found to be driving on a suspended license. A citation was issued for the violation.

On 10/16/18 at approximately 12:50 p.m., an individual was contacted in the Sheriffs Office lobby who was found to have an active warrant out of Gilpin County. The individual was taken into custody and booked into Gilpin County Jail without incident.

On 10/16/18 a deputy responded to the 600 block of Seldom Seen Road in unincorporated Gilpin County, CO, 80403 on a report of trespassing. A case report was completed.

On 10/16/18 at approximately 3:15 p.m., a Gilpin County Sheriffs Office deputy was contacted by a citizen who reported their business checking account had been compromised. Two unauthorized transactions were made against said account.


On 10/16/18 at approximately 4:50 p.m., deputies were dispatched to an assault call. The deputies learned that the suspect had left the property prior to the call. Deputies investigated the call at the scene and attempted to locate the suspect. The suspect was later located at a campground and taken into custody. The suspect was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.


On 10/16/18 at approximately 5:07 p.m., an investigator assisted the Colorado State Patrol by conducting a Drug Influence Evaluation on a driver recently arrested for the investigation of driving under the influence.


On 10/17/18 at approximately 4:54 p.m., a deputy took a report related to possible juror retaliation.


On 10/18/18 at approximately 5:02 p.m., a deputy responded to a residential address in Central City to take possession of multiple firearms which were processed into evidence for safekeeping.


On 10/18/18, a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was released on a summons and the license plates were seized from the vehicle.


On 10/18/18 a Gilpin deputy responded to two dogs running near, and on, Highway 119 near Highway 46. The deputy took custody of the dogs, contacted the owner who was cited with two violations of dog at large, and the dogs were released back to the owner.


On 10/18/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Old Stage Coach Trail in Rollinsville. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and possession of a schedule I controlled substance.


On 10/19/18 a deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino for the report of a wallet theft. A suspect was identified.


On 10/19/18 the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office was requested to do a welfare check at 64 Mystic Lane, Black Hawk CO, 80422. A deputy went to the residence and contacted the party of concern. The party appeared to be well cared for and in good spirits.


On 10/19/18 at 8:49 a.m., a male party was arrested in Gilpin County District Court on active Weld County warrants for contempt of court, probation violation and failing to appear on a charge of soliciting child prostitution. The male party was arrested without incident and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.


On 10/19/18 at approximately 1:31 p.m., a deputy responded to a hit and run accident. Investigation determined that it was not an accident and no damage was found on the vehicles.


On 10/19/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Red Dolly Casino Parking Lot. The driver was issued a summons for no insurance, not having a driver’s license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.


On 10/19/2018 deputies attempted to stop a vehicle with stolen license plates. A vehicle pursuit ensued, and the vehicle was also determined to be stolen. The case is active and still under investigation.


On 10/20/18 at 1:41 p.m., a deputy responded to a parking garage located in the 100 block of Lawrence Street, Central City, CO 80427, in a defacing property call. The deputy learned that an unknown person placed a sticker on the windshield of a vehicle. A report was taken.

On 10/20/18 a Colorado Parks and Wildlife officer asked for assistance on a contact at the Old Mammoth Reservoir location. A summons was issued to the driver of a vehicle.

On 10/20/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for an expired temporary tag. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license and was issued a summons.

On 10/20/18 at approximately 3:37 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy on patrol in the incorporated city of Central, Gilpin County, CO, 80427 attempted a traffic stop that finally stopped near the intersection of Gregory ST and High ST. The driver of the vehicle was found to be a habitual traffic offender whose driving privileges had been revoked. The passenger of the vehicle had a valid driver license and was asked to take control of the vehicle. The offender was issued a summons and a proof of service.

On 10/20/18 a deputy took a report of a hit and run accident in the Century Parking garage. There is no suspect information.

On 10/21/18 a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 500 block of Gregory Street, Gilpin County, Central City, CO 80427. The vehicle eluded the deputy. A report was later completed, and a warrant has been issued.

On 10/21/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Drugs were discovered in the vehicle during the investigation and the driver was subsequently arrested. The driver was released pending felony charges and a report was later completed.

On 10/21/18 at approximately 10:42 a.m., the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident at approximately MM 1 on the Central City Parkway. A deputy responded and could not locate the driver. The vehicle was damaged heavily. Central City Fire Department also responded. The driver was later identified and returned to the scene of the accident. He was issued a summons and the vehicle was impounded.


On 10/21/18 a deputy took a phone report of a possible criminal mischief on Columbine Campground Road. An investigation was unable to be conducted due to the victim leaving the scene and it is unclear where the incident occurred.


On 10/21/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway and the driver was issued a summons.


On 10/21/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of Gregory Street.


On 10/21/18 at approximately 8:05 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway. The deputy later learned the passenger was a restrained party on a protection order and the driver was the protected party. The passenger was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.


On 10/22/18 deputies responded to the report of a burglary in progress at Coyote Liquors. No suspects were found on scene, the case is still active and under investigation.


On 10/22/18 at approximately 3:55 p.m., a deputy was contacted by a male party at the 400 block of Mammoth View Lane, Central City, CO 80427 on the report of a possible harassment. A report was taken.


On 10/22/18 at approximately 5 p.m., a deputy took a report of a sexual assault. After speaking with the reporting party and the other party involved it was determined that no crime had been committed. A report was completed detailing the incident and investigation.


On 10/22/18 a Gilpin deputy responded to the Missouri Lakes #1 Subdivision on a traffic complaint. The complaint was one neighbor complaining about the other, and after an investigation it was determined there was no probable cause to charge a traffic violation. A report was filed.


On 10/23/18 at approximately 8:15 p.m., a deputy responded to a report of a street light on the ground on Eureka Street, in Central City. The deputy determined an accident had occurred with a vehicle that was no longer on scene. The deputy later located the driver and an accident report was completed.


On 10/24/18 at 3:26 a.m., a deputy responded to the 100 block of Blue Spruce Rd, unincorporated Gilpin County, CO, 80422, on a suspicious person call. Upon arrival, nobody was located. The deputy spoke with the caller and learned that a male knocked on her door at 3:30 a.m. asking to use her Wi-Fi. A report was taken.


On 10/24/18 at approximately 8 a.m., an inmate was found to have an active warrant while being released. The warrant was located, and the inmate was rebooked into the Gilpin County Jail.


On 10/24/18 at approximately 8:24 a.m., a deputy found a license plate near mile post 3.5 on Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County, 80422. A report was taken.


On 10/24/18 a staff member was working at the Gilpin County Jail when a female party contacted the jail informing staff that she wanted to turn herself in on a warrant she knew she had for her arrest. The information was verified, and the female party was arrested and booked into the jail for the warrant without incident.


On 10/24/18 at approximately 12:38 p.m., a deputy responded around the 1100 block of Lake Gulch Road, Central City, CO, 80427 on the report of possible poaching. A report was taken.


On 10/24/18 a deputy took a report from a resident concerning fraudulent telephone calls.


On 10/24/18 an adult male went to the Gilpin Jail to bond out his daughter. It was discovered he did not have a valid drivers license, and upon leaving the jail was told not to drive. The male agreed not to drive but proceeded to walk to his Honda and drive from the parking lot. A Gilpin deputy caught up to the Honda on Highway 46, stopped it, and cited the adult male for driving on a cancelled/denied drivers license, no insurance and fictitious plates. The adult male called Uber to get a ride home.


On 10/25/18 at 9:07 a.m., an adult male party was taken into custody at the Gilpin County Court on a failure to appear warrant without incident.


On 10/25/18 at approximately 10:10 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Gold Mountain Village Apartment Complex, at 415 Powder Run Drive, located in the incorporated City of Central City, Colorado, 80427 regarding a burglary and theft. Upon arrival, the deputy contacted the victim and later completed a case report.


On 10/25/18, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Main Street, Black Hawk. The driver was later arrested for DUI.


On 10/25/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72, in Pinecliffe. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a restrained license, no insurance and using the previous owners license plates.


On 10/25/18 at approximately 3:02 p.m. a deputy responded to a hit and run accident that occurred at 102 Main Street, Central City, CO, 80427. The suspect was found and issued a summons to appear in Gilpin County Court for leaving the scene of an accident without providing required information.


On 10/26/18 at approximately 5:12 p.m., a deputy responded to Pickle Gulch campground and picnic area on the report of a dangerous campfire. A male party associated with the fire was later placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.


On 10/27/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a sport motorcycle on south Highway 119. The rider/ driver was arrested for DUI.


On 10/27/18 a deputy conducted a welfare check in a parking garage. One of the occupants of the vehicle had a warrant and was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.


On 10/27/18 at approximately 7:05 p.m., the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office received a report of 2 dogs in the 500 block of Gregory Street in Central City CO, 80427. The dogs were located and contained at the Red Dolly Casino. The dogs had been habitually running loose and the owner had been issued several verbal warnings. The dog owner was contacted and issued a summons.


On 10/27/18 dispatch aired several motorcycles southbound Hwy 119 from mile marker 21 were passing on double yellow lines. The reporting party had described one of the riders as a female driving a blue motorcycle wearing a brown leather jacket with white stripes. The reporting party wished to have the riders charged. The driver of the motorcycle was seen and stopped. A summons was issued for several violations.


0n 10/27/18 at approximately 4:35 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy arrested a female on an active warrant.


On 10/27/18, at approximately 7:05 p.m., deputies responded to a residence located in Black Hawk for a female party having issues breathing. The same female party was later placed on an M-1 mental health hold and transported to a hospital.


On 10/27/18 at approximately 10:46 p.m., a male party turned himself into deputies at the Century Casino for an outstanding arrest warrant.


On 10/28/18 at approximately 6:46 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Gregory Street and Spring Street in Central City CO, 80427. An occupant of the vehicle was found to have violated a protection order stipulation. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail without incident.


On 10/28/18 at 2:17 p.m., a deputy responded to the 100 block of Plutus Dr, CO, 80422, in unincorporated Gilpin County on a report of a dog at large. After an investigation, a summons was issued to the dog owner.


On 10/28/18 at 3:36 p.m., a deputy responded to 120 Plutus Dr, CO, 80422, in unincorporated Gilpin County on a report of a dog at large. After an investigation, a party was found on the property who was in violation of a protection order. That party was arrested.


0n 10/29/18 at approximately 9 a.m., a male party was arrested by a Gilpin County Deputy on an active warrant and booked into the jail.
On 10/29/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested for a warrant.
