Gilpin County Sheriff’s Reports, November 2024


On 11/1/24, at approximately 7:13 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Carrol Court, in unincorporated Gilpin County on a report of a suspicious person.

On 11/1/24, at approximately 8:42 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 2500 block of South

Beaver Creek Road in unincorporated Gilpin County on a report of a disturbance.

On 11/1/24, at approximately 9:52 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 13500 block of Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County. A male party was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and released on a summons.

On 11/1/24, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop near milepost 5 Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County. After investigation, it was discovered the driver of the

vehicle had a warrant for their arrest. The driver was taken into custody on the warrant and issued a summons.

On 11/2/24, a deputy responded to the 500 block of Upper Apex Valley Road, on a report of shots fired. An investigation was completed.  

On 11/2/24, at approximately 10:42 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to 200 North Dory Lakes Drive, in unincorporated Gilpin County on a report of a disturbance.

On 11/3/24, at approximately 3:25 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 100 Lawrence Street, Central City, on a report of a trespassed guest, which then turned into a disturbance.

On 11/3/24, at approximately 4:31 p.m., a deputy was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of mile marker 5.5 Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County, when they observed a white Dodge Charger pass them. They noticed the plate was damaged and not readable. A traffic stop was completed.

On 11/4/24, deputies responded to the 1700 block of Lump Gulch Road for a death investigation. A report was taken.  

On 11/4/24, at approximately 10:41 a.m., a vehicle eluded a deputy at 400 Eureka Street Central City. A report was made.  

On 11/4/24, at approximately 4:16 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a report of a drug violation at Dragon Tiger Casino located at 132 Lawrence Street, Central City. A report was made.  

On 11/4/24, at approximately 5 p.m., a deputy was advised by dispatch of a dog issue to be handled by phone located at the 600 block of Foxtail Circle, in unincorporated Gilpin County. Charges were filled and a report was taken.  

On 11/5/24, at approximately 5:22 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino for a report of damaged property. A report was made.

On 11/6/24, at approximately 1 p.m., warrants were discovered for a person who was already in custody in Gilpin County Jail on local charges. The subject was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.  

On 11/7/24, a deputy was dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident at mile marker 3.8 Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County. Colorado State Patrol responded as well as Black Hawk Police Department. A report was made.  

On 11/8/24, at approximately 10:30 a.m., a warrant was found for an individual who was already in custody in Gilpin County Jail on local charges. This individual was arrested and processed into the Gilpin County Jail.  

On 11/9/24, at approximately 4:58 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of an abandoned vehicle located in the 20 block of Wallens Place in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.  

On 11/10/24, at approximately 8:32 a.m., deputies responded to the 2000 block of

Mountain Base Road for a Harassment call. A report was taken.

On 11/10/24, at approximately 3:03 p.m., deputies responded to the 400 block of Powder Run Drive for a death investigation. A report was taken.

On 11/12/24, at approximately 6:49 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop at 297 Quartz Road, in unincorporated Gilpin County. The vehicle was towed and a report was made.  

On 11/12/24, at approximately 9:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a call for service regarding an assault located near the 200 block of Main Street, Black Hawk. A report was made.

On 11/13/24, at approximately 2:50 p.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person currently experiencing incarceration. The person was detained and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility.

On 11/13/24, a deputy took a report on a lost wallet. The party lost his wallet after he left a casino. A report was made.

On 11/13/24, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle in the roadway on Highway 119 mile marker 17.5 in unincorporated Gilpin County. The vehicle was described as a maroon car with a female party standing outside of it, yelling at cars. The reporting party thought the female was intoxicated.

On 11/14/24, at approximately 11:53 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person currently experiencing incarceration. The person was detained and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility.

On 11/15/24, at 3:01 p.m., a deputy responded to the 4000 block of Smith Hill Road, in unincorporated Gilpin County, on the report of a suspicious person. The area was checked and a report completed.

On 11/15/24, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to a call for service regarding disturbance

located near the 2400 block of South Beaver Creek Road, Black Hawk. A report was made.

On 11/16/24, at approximately 1:47 p.m., deputies responded to the 300 block of Gregory

Street for Fraud/Forgery. A report was taken.

On 11/16/24, at approximately 8:20 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a call for service regarding a death investigation near the 200 block of East 1st High Street Central City. A report was made.

On 11/16/24, at approximately 10:07 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the report of a civil issue located in the 40 block of Elk Place in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.

On 11/18/24, at approximately 9:11 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in progress located in the 18000 block of Elk Park Road, Black Hawk. A report was taken.

On 11/18/24, at approximately 9 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a silver Jeep that did not come to a complete stop at a stop sign near Spring and Main Streets in Central City. A report was made.

On 11/19/24, at approximately 2 p.m., a warrant was discovered for a person who was already in custody in Gilpin County Jail on local charges. The subject was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/20/24, at 5:04 p.m., a deputy met with a person in the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office regarding a child custody issue. A report was taken.

On 11/20/24, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop near the 100 block of Spring Street in Central City. A report was made.

On 11/2/24, at approximately 11:35 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a Trespass located at the 300 block of Gregory Street, Central City. A report was taken.

On 11/22/24, at approximately 3:25 p.m., active and valid warrants were discovered for a person currently experiencing incarceration. The person was detained and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility.

On 11/22/24, at 9:12 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Bridge Street and Main Street, in Central City. No serious injuries were reported and the driver was cited then released. A report was completed.

On 11/23/24, at approximately 1:17 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Mystic Lane, Black Hawk, on the report of a possible Protection Order Violation. A report was taken.

On 11/24/24, at approximately 12:52 a.m., deputies responded to the report of Criminal Mischief at the Dragon Tiger Casino, 132 Lawrence Street, Central City. A report was taken.

On 11/24/24, at approximately 1 a.m., a deputy was advised by security staff of the Dragon

Tiger Casino of possible found drugs located at the 100 block of Lawrence Street, Central City. A report was taken.

On 11/25/24, at approximately 1:36 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a civil issue at 493 Morning Star Circle in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was made.

On 11/26/24, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident near the 100 block of Eureka Street, Central City. A report was made.

On 11/27/24, a deputy conducted a motorist assist at mile marker 3 on Highway 119. The driver

was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.
