On 12/1/24, at approximately 6:24 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of a wildlife issue located near mile marker 2, Central City Parkway.  A wounded animal was dispatched and a report was taken.  

On 12/1/24, at approximately 12:28 a.m., dispatch advised a deputy of a citizen's assist to be handled by phone located at the 100 block of Main Street. A report was taken.

On 12/4/24, at approximately 5:26 a.m., a Gilpin County Deputy assisted Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Highway 119. A male party was arrested for driving under the influence.

On 12/5/24, at approximately 10:53 a.m., a party came to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office lobby to turn himself in on an active warrant.

 On 12/6/24, at approximately 3:05 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 400 Powder Run Drive, for a Civil Stand By.

 On 12/7/24, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at Caesar Road. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. A report was taken.

On 12/8/24, at approximately 3:14 p.m., deputies responded to the 1700 block of Coyote Circle, for a call of tampering. A report was taken.

On 12/7/24, at approximately 4:13 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Lawrence Street for a reported theft. A report was taken and property returned.

On 12/8/24, at approximately 11:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a call for service regarding an overturned vehicle near Highway 119, mile marker 5.8. A report was made.

On 12/14/24, at approximately 6:12 p.m., active, valid warrants were discovered for a current person experiencing incarceration. The person was detained and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility.

On 12/14/24, at approximately 11:41 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to assist Colorado State Patrol located on Highway 119.

On 12/15/24, at approximately 9:53 a.m., a deputy was flagged down by a motorist in the 500 block of Gregory Street. The party stated he just left the Grand Z Casino garage, Level 1, when he noticed a green older model Subaru with two males acting strangely. A report was completed.

On 12/15/24, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a male party arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office and wanted to turn himself in on several warrants. The warrants were confirmed and the male party was taken into custody without incident.

On 12/16/24, at approximately 4:57 a.m., a deputy located a motor vehicle accident on Gap Road. Colorado State Patrol was notified and conducted an investigation.  

On 12/18/24, an inmate at the Gilpin County Jail was charged with violation of protection order. A report was later made.

On 12/18/24, at approximately 6:40 p.m., a deputy dispatched to an unresponsive and not breathing party that was located at 100 block of Aspen Circle. A report was taken.  

On 12/19/24, at approximately 6:59 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy responded to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office for the report of a littering complaint. A deputy talked with a male party and took a report.

On 12/19/24, at approximately 10:58 a.m., Gilpin County deputies responded to the 100 block of Emory Road in efforts to locate a missing male party. After several hours of searching the party was located but was found deceased. A deputy coroner was called to the scene and took custody of the body.

On 12/20/24, at approximately 12:40 a.m., deputies received a call for service regarding a medical emergency near Highway 119 mile marker 4. A report was made.

On 12/20/24, at approximately 5:54 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries located in the area of 3500 Highway 119. A report was completed.  

On 12/20/24, at approximately 12:36 p.m., deputies responded to the 400 block of Athena Road for a report of theft. A report was taken.

On 12/21/24, at approximately 3:10 p.m., a citizen called reporting that an unknown person(s) attempted to steal her horse trailer from her property located in the 2900 block of Coyote Circle. A report was completed.

On 12/22/24, at approximately 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a harassment, located in the 2900 block of Coyote Circle. A report was taken.  

On 12/22/24 at approximately 6:14 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to assist another agency for Colorado State Patrol, located at 1351 Highway 119, Black Hawk. A report was completed.  

On 12/23/24, at approximately 5:11 a.m., a deputy was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of mile marker 1.5 Highway 119, when they observed headlights coming northbound at a high rate of speed. Using their radar, they locked the vehicle at 64 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone.

On 12/23/24, at approximately 6:05 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy assisted Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop. A female party was arrested on a warrant and a male driver was issued a summons.

On 12/24/24, a deputy was dispatched to a theft that occurred at 47 Elk Place. A report was made.  

On 12/24/24, at approximately 9:15 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an AOA to Boulder County Sheriff's Office located at the 1300 block of Hess Road.

On 12/26/24, at approximately 12:38 p.m., a cell phone and an ID was turned into the Sheriff's Office. The owner of the phone and ID eventually showed up and reclaimed her property.

On 12/27/24, at approximately 3:40 a.m., deputies received a call for service regarding a Gilpin County Jail assist located at 2960 Dory Hill Road. A report was made.

On 12/27/24, at approximately 6:24 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Grand Z

Casino located at 321 Gregory Street, on a report of unwanted parties on property. One party was arrested on an outstanding warrant. A report was completed.

On 12/28/24, at approximately 1:34 p.m., deputies, along with Gilpin Medics, Timberline Fire, and a Black Hawk Police officer, responded to the 400 block of Pinon Circle, on the report of a disturbance. One party was transported to the hospital and a report taken.  

On 12/28/24, at approximately 6:24 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the report of a cold assault which had occurred in the area of Golden Gate Canyon State Park. A report was taken.

On 12/28/24, at approximately 10:57 p.m., deputies responded to a 911 investigation located in the 90 block of Crestview Drive. A report was taken.  

On 12/30/24, at about 7:45 a.m., a deputy responded to a motor vehicle accident located at 135 Nevada Street. A report was completed.  

On 12/30/24, a deputy found an abandoned motor home in the 200 block of Gregory Street. A tow was requested as it was a traffic hazard. Approximately 40 minutes after a tow was requested the owner showed up and moved the vehicle. The tow was canceled.
