On 11/1/20, at approximately 9:38 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 1700 block of Karlann drive for a dog issue. A case report was later completed.
On 11/2/20, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Grand Z Casino Parking Garage. The driver was later arrested for DUI and violation of a protection order.
On 11/3/20, a Gilpin County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call of Fraud. An investigation was conducted and a report taken.
On 11/3/20, at approximately 4:12 p.m., a deputy responded to a report of a cold burglary. When the deputy arrived, he met with the property owner and found that a camping trailer had been broken into and items were taken from the trailer. The deputy completed a report for the incident.
On 11/3/20, a deputy was dispatched to the Century Casino for a cold criminal mischief case. A report was later completed.
On 11/5/20, at approximately 8:09 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop. The driver was later found to have a canceled/denied driver’s license. The driver was issued a summons to appear in court and released.
On 11/5/20, at approximately 8:40 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance call. Deputies investigated the incident and determined that both parties were at fault. The following day one party was issued a summons to court. Charges against the other party are pending further investigation.
On 11/5/20, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a deputy responded to the 100 block of Nevada Street in Central City, on a report of criminal mischief. A case report was later completed.
On 11/6/20, at approximately 11 a.m., a deputy responded to a call of harassment. The deputy spoke with the reporting party who did not want to file charges but did want the incident documented. A report was completed for the incident.
On 11/6/20, at approximately 10:18 a.m., a deputy assisted the Gilpin County Public Works with road issues where residents had obstructed the county roads in two locations. A report was completed for the incident.
On 11/7/20, a deputy took a report of a cold assault.
On 11/7/20, at approximately 4 p.m., a deputy was called to the 100 block of Main Street in Central City, on a report of a theft.
On 11/7/20, at 4 p.m., a deputy responded to Highway 119 near mile marker 5 unincorporated Gilpin County, to assist the Colorado State Patrol with a traffic accident.
On 11/8/20, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville. The driver was under the influence of alcohol and when the deputy attempted to arrest the driver the driver resisted arrest. A short altercation ensued and the driver was arrested with minor injuries as a result. The driver was booked into the Gilpin Jail for: DUI, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer and possession of cocaine.
On 11/9/20, a deputy responded to a motor vehicle accident located on the Central City Parkway mile marker 6. A report was completed.
On 11/9/20, at approximately 2:17 p.m., a party called to report he had left his cell phone behind in an Uber in Wheat Ridge the driver had declined to return it to him for several days. The RP tracked his phone to the apartments in Central City. An investigator responded and located the driver and the phone and returned it to the owner.
On 11/9/20, at approximately 4:10 p.m., there was a multi-vehicle accident in the Gilpin School parking lot due to adverse weather conditions.
On 11/10/20, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a deputy observed a vehicle that had appeared to have slid off the road. The deputy contacted the driver and determined the car had crashed into several trees. A crash report was completed.
On 11/11/20, a deputy took a phone report of a possible criminal impersonation.
On 11/12/20, a deputy received a call about an accident on Nevada St and Main St.There were no injuries reported.
On 11/12/20, at approximately 1:27 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a call involving a trailer being stolen from someone’s property. The deputy spoke with the vehicle owner and completed a report. The trailer was later entered into NCIC/CCIC as a stolen vehicle.
On 11/13/20, at approximately 12 p.m., a deputy took a report of a suspicious item in the 400 block of Apex Valley Road, Central City. A case report was later completed.
On 11/13/20, at approximately 2 p.m., a deputy was advised of a hit and run with property damage which occurred at the parking structure location at 102 Main St, Central City. A report was completed.
On 11/14/20, at approximately 8:29 p.m., a deputy saw a vehicle crash into a concrete bollard due to weather conditions.
On 11/14/20, at approximately 7:28 p.m., a deputy observed a non-injury vehicle crash at the intersection of Bridge St and Main St, Central City. A report was taken.
On 11/15/20, at 8:31 p.m., deputies responded to Meadowlake Drive, unincorporated Gilpin County, on a 911 investigation. Upon arrival deputies investigated a non-criminal disturbance.
On 11/16/20, at approximately 8:03 a.m., a deputy responded to a report of a cold motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of Lawrence St, Central City. A case report was completed.
On 11/19/20, at 10:37 a.m., a person came to the lobby of the Gilpin County Jail to turn themselves in on an active warrant.
On 11/19/20, at approximately 3:14 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a residence for a welfare check. A report was completed.
On 11/20/20, at approximately 12:47 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to call about someone breaking into a cabin and trailer. The reporting party also found several items had been taken from the property. A case report was completed for the incident.
On 11/20/20, a deputy responded to the area of 92 Crawford Gulch Rd. on a report of a theft. A report was completed.
On 11/21/20, a deputy responded to the Opera House parking lot in Central City on the report of a vehicle trespass.
On 11/21/20, at approximately 4 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Rocky Ridge Road in unincorporated Gilpin County, on a report of a disturbance in progress. A case report was later completed.
On 11/21/20, deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a vehicle on Virginia Canyon Road.
On 11/22/20, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Gregory St. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a suspended license.
On 11/22/20, at approximately 8:33 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to contact a party by telephone regarding harassment. The issue was determined to be civil in nature, a report was taken.
On 11/23/20, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Lawrence St. on a vehicle using altered temporary license plates. The driver was arrested for DUI and a passenger was issued a summons for criminal possession of an identification document.
On 11/24/20, at approximately 9:34 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a residence for a welfare check. A report was completed.
On 11/25/20, at approximately 3:08 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a cold hit-and-run accident. A crash report was completed.
On 11/28/20, a deputy responded to the area of the 7000 block of Virginia Canyon Rd. on a parking problem. A vehicle was towed and a report was completed.
On 11/28/20, at approximately 10 a.m., a deputy responded to the 100 block of Main St. in Central City for a welfare check. The deputy impounded a stolen vehicle and a case report was later completed.
On 11/28/20, a deputy responded to a residence on Thorodin Dr. regarding a trespass. A suspect was located and a citation was issued.
On 11/29/20, a deputy took a report of someone receiving troubling emails. A case report was later completed.
On 11/29/20, at approximately 2 p.m., a deputy took a report of theft and criminal mischief on Stewart Gulch Rd. in unincorporated Gilpin County. A case report was later completed.
On 11/29/20, a deputy took a report of a cold burglary.
On 11/29/20, a deputy contacted a suspicious vehicle on Highway 119. The driver came back with a nationwide felony warrant for aggravated assault out of Minnesota. The driver was arrested and booked into the Gilpin Jail.
