On July 22, an adult male was reported by Union Pacific Railroad as trespassing on one of their trains. The adult male was contacted, charged with 2nd Degree CriminalTrespass, escorted from the area, and released.
On July 22, a Deputy took a report of a wall of tires being knocked over. There are no suspects or investigative leads.
On July 24, at approximately 1713 hours, a Deputy stopped at residence in nincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado; reference possible marijuana grow. Party was contacted and found to have a warrant. Party arrested on the warrant.
On July 25th, a Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation that occurred within unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. The driver was arrested on an unrelated warrant and given a summons for the traffic violations.
On July 25, a citizen reported a possible mail theft. A report was taken.
On July 25, medical marijuana investigation cleared by report.
On July 25, at approximately 1422 hours, a deputy observed a white two-door car speeding on Highway 119, Mile Post 8.5. The driver immediately tried to flee and eluding deputies. He was located minutes later in the 300 Block of Hughesville Road and was taken into custody. He was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On July 25 at approximately 1955 hours, a deputy observed a party hitchhiking along the roadway. The deputy stopped and offered the party a courtesy ride to his destination. It was later found that the party had an active warrant for his arrest. The party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail for the warrant.
On July 26, at approximately 7:00 a.m., an adult male was contacted for speeding 56 mph in a 45 mph zone, on Highway 119 at mile point 1.5. Upon contact several indicators of intoxication were noticed. The adult male was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail for DUI and Speeding.
On July 27, a Gilpin Deputy, while on patrol on Highway 119 in mid-county, stopped an adult male for failing to signal a pass. It was discovered the adult male had a cancelled driver`s license for failure to pay a traffic ticket. The adult male was summonsed and released. Another adult male passenger, who had a valid driver`s license, drove the vehicle from the scene.
On July 29, an adult female reported a suspicious incident, where an adult male purchased goods with questionable funds. A report was taken and forwarded to investigations in case related incidents are reported.
On July 30, at approximately 0930 hours, Gilpin Deputy took a report of a cut fence on the Church Placer reclamation project. Report taken.
On July 30, at or about 1110 hours, as a party was being processed into the Gilpin County Jail, an arrest warrant for the party, issued by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, was found. The party was processed into the Gilpin County Jail on said warrant without incident.
On July 31, at approximately 0055 hours, a deputy was dispatched to a reported cold assault. The deputy completed a report for the incident.
On August 1, at approximately 0810 hours, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 119 Mile Post 2.1 for passing on the left when prohibited. When the driver was contacted, he was found to have a suspended driver`s license. There were three other occupants in the car but nobody had a valid driver`s license. The driver was issued a summons and the vehicle was towed.

On August 1st a Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation within unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. The passenger was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail for an unrelated criminal charge and the driver was cited for the traffic violation.
On August 2, at approximately 2001 hours, a deputy was dispatched to Spruce Way, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, regarding a suicidal party. Upon arrival, the deputy evaluated the party, requested an ambulance and the party was later transported via ambulance to a hospital in the Denver Metropolitan Area. A case report was later completed.
On August 2, at approximately 2300 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 100 Block of Plutus Drive, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, regarding a Persistent Barking Dog. The owner of the dog was contacted and issued a summons. A case report was completed.
On August 2, at approximately 1818 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 5300 Block of Highway 119, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, regarding a welfare check on an intoxicated party. The intoxicated party was later transported via ambulance to a hospital located in the Denver Metropolitan and a case report was completed.
On August 3, a deputy completed a Certified VIN Inspection for a resident.
