Gilpin County Sheriff's Office Reports, September 2024

On 9/1/24, at approximately 12:01 a.m., a deputy responded as cover for Colorado State Patrol on a DUI traffic stop.

On 9/1/24, at approximately 7:23 p.m., a deputy responded to a cold assault at the

Gold Mountain Village Apartments. A report was taken.

On 9/2/24, at approximately 5:58 a.m., deputies responded to the area of mile marker 4.5 and Central City Parkway for a motor vehicle accident involving wildlife. No injuries were reported.  

On 9/3/24, at approximately 4:07 a.m., a deputy responded as cover for the Black Hawk Police Department for two intoxicated parties at the Horseshoe Casino. Both parties were taken into custody.

A male party was brought into the jail heavily intoxicated and combative. Force was used to safely escort and house him.  

On 9/3/24, at approximately 11:50 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop located at the Gilpin County fairgrounds. A report was made.

On 9/4/24, at approximately 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to emergency tones for a verbal altercation located on Rudolph Ranch Road. A report was made.

On 9/6/24, at approximately 1:53 a.m., deputies responded to a 911 investigation located in the 800 block of Karlann Drive. A report was taken.  

On 9/6/24, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a person currently in the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an active warrant.

On 9/6/24, at approximately 10:40 a.m., deputies received a call for service regarding harassment. A report was made.

On 9/6/24, at approximately 5:47 p.m., a deputy responded to a report of a property damage accident in the Century Casino parking garage. A report was taken.  

On 9/7/24, at approximately 4:10 a.m., a deputy en route to Gilpin County assisted another officer from a neighboring jurisdiction with a traffic accident on US 6 near mile marker 268.

On 9/7/24, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Black Hawk. The driver was found to be driving with a restrained license and had fictitious plates. She was issued a summons.

On 9/8/24, deputies responded to the 400 block of Colorado Street on a cold assault.  

On 9/9/24, at approximately 8:04 a.m., deputies, fire and EMS responded to an unconscious female in the 10000 block of Highway 119. The female party was treated on scene and released.

On 9/9/24, at approximately 11:52 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a phone report of lost

property at 440 Powder Run Drive. A report was made.

On 9/9/24, at approximately 1:54 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle located near the intersection of Forest Service Road 175.3I and Forest Service Road 175.3D.

On 9/9/24, at approximately 8:50 p.m., deputies responded to mile marker 6.5 on Central City Parkway for a Motor Vehicle Accident involving wildlife.

On 9/10/24, at approximately 12:40 a.m., a bag was found on the Central City Parkway with laundry and cosmetic items.  

On 9/10/24, at approximately 7:09 a.m., deputies responded to the 3000 block of Highway 119 to assist Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop. A male and female were taken into custody for DUI, drug possession and a warrant.

On 9/11/24, at approximately 6:18 a.m., Gilpin County deputies responded to the Z

Stop Gas Station to assist Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop. A male party was arrested for DUI and possession charges and transported to the Gilpin County Detentions Facility.  

On 9/11/24, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a female party arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office and wanted to turn themselves in on a warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the female party was taken into custody without incident.

On 9/11/24, at approximately 11:48 a.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Athena

Road for a dog issue. A report was taken.

On 9/13/24, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies received a call for service regarding lost property at the Z Stop Gas Station. A report was made.

On 9/14/24, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a deputy was dispatched for a felony menacing involving a firearm at the intersection of Highway 119 and Highway 46 in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was made.

On 9/14/24, at approximately 1:58 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gregory Street. One male was taken into custody on a warrant.

On 9/14/24, at approximately 3:25 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an unconscious individual at the Grand Z Casino. A report was made.  

On 9/15/24, at approximately 9:43 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a cold burglary on Pyrite Drive. A report was taken.  

On 9/15/24, deputies performed a traffic stop near 119 and mile marker 5. A report was made.

On 9/15/24, at approximately 10:59 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to an ATV rollover with injuries on FS 353.1. A report was made.

On 9/15/24, at approximately 2 p.m., deputies responded to a call for service regarding an assault. A report was made.

On 9/16/24, at approximately 12:20 p.m., deputies received a call for service to be handled by phone regarding a lost firearm. A report was made.

On 9/16/24, at approximately 3:40 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a phone report of a possible mail theft in the 300 block of Glen Mawr Drive.

On 9/16/24, at approximately 9:57 p.m., deputies met with two males in the 2900 block of Dory Hill Road about an assault. A report was taken.

On 9/17/24, a party was contacted in Central City on a Municipal Code violation. The party was found to have two warrants and was arrested. A report was later completed.  

On 9/17/24, at approximately 8:20 p.m., a deputy took a phone report about a potential

stalking incident.

On 9/18/24, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to receive a phone call about a cold harassment that occurred at the 200 block of Aspen Meadows Lane. A report was taken.  

On 9/19/24, at approximately 3:32 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a 3 car motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries at mile marker 14.9 on Highway 119. Timberline fire and Gilpin medics were also dispatched.  

On 9/19/24, at approximately 7:53 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a 911 investigation at the 2500 block of Dory Hill Road.

On 9/19/24, at approximately 9 a.m., deputies received an email regarding a violation of a protection order out of Gilpin County. A report was made.

On 9/20/24, at approximately 10 a.m., deputies while on patrol were advised by dispatch of a civil call to be handled by phone. A report was made.  

On 9/20/24, at approximately 10:30 a.m., deputies received a call for service regarding a wildlife violation issue. A report was made.

On 9/20/24, a deputy took a report regarding a license plate being used illegally on a vehicle.  

On 9/20/24, at approximately 9:11 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Chalet

Drive for a call of CPR in progress. A report was taken.  

On 9/20/24, a Gilpin County deputy was working their assigned shift at the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office located at 2960 Dory Hill Road and logged in two items as found property.  

On 9/21/24, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a phone report for

fraudulent charges on a credit card at the 200 block of Black Bear Trail.

On 9/21/24, at approximately 6:17 p.m., deputies responded to a call of a missing or overdue person. A report was taken.

On 9/22/24, at approximately 7:17 p.m., deputies responded to an intoxicated female driver near mile marker 10.5 and Highway 119. The driver was arrested.

On 9/22/24, at approximately 10:11 p.m., a deputy responded to the 100 block of Academy Street on a cold burglary.

On 9/23/24, a party was arrested in the courts lobby of the Justice Center on two outstanding warrants. A report was later completed .

On 9/23/24, at approximately 9:06 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Gregory Street on a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries.  

On 9/24/24, a male party was arrested in the courts lobby of the Justice Center on one outstanding warrant. A report was later completed .

On 9/25/24, at approximately 11:50 a.m., a female party arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office and wanted to turn themselves in on a warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the female party was taken into custody without incident.

On 9/25/24, at approximately 11:50 a.m., detention staff responded to the court hallway for a person turning themselves in on a warrant. The person was arrested and brought to the Gilpin County Detention Facility for processing.

On 9/25/24, a citizen brought a dog to the Sheriff's Office that he found running at large on his property. A scan was done on the dog and no microchip was located. The dog had no tags and was a chihuahua mix, brown and white in color. The dog was taken to Charlie's Place.

On 9/26/24, at approximately 12:15 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to found property located at the 100 block of Eureka Street. A report was taken.

On 9/27/24, a person experiencing incarceration was booked in on two new out of county warrants. This individual was re-arrested and booked in on these new warrants without incident.

On 9/27/24, at approximately 7:22 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of Upper Travis Gulch Road for a welfare check.

On 9/29/24, at approximately 7:30 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at approximately the 200 block of Lawrence Street Central City. A report was made.

On 9/29/24, at approximately 1:48 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a welfare check on Arapahoe Ridge Black Hawk. A report was made.

On 9/29/24, at approximately 4:03 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at mile marker 24.1 on Highway 72, Golden. A report was made.

On 9/30/24, at approximately 5:42 p.m., deputies responded to the 400 block of Pinon Circle for a report of an overdose or poison ingestion. A report was taken.
