Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office Reports, October 2024
On 10/1/24, at approximately 4:05 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a theft at the 300 block of Gregory Street at the Grand Z Casino. A report was taken.
On 10/1/24, at approximately 6:10 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a vehicle theft at the Grand Z Casino located on the 300 block of Gregory Street. A report was taken.
On 10/1/24, while running radar at mile marker 17 on Highway 119, a citizen stopped and told an officer that a person had shot a deer by the Moffat Tunnel and he thought it was out of season. Colorado Parks and Wildlife were contacted and a deputy responded to the tunnel to see if he could contact the suspect.
On 10/2/24, a deputy was dispatched to a possible burglary in progress on the Central City Parkway. The officer responded to the area and found a black Ford Ranger parked in the area with no one around. A report was made.
On 10/2/24 at approximately 7:12 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Crawford Gulch Road on a report of lost or stolen property. A report was completed.
On 10/2/24, at approximately 11 p.m., an individual was booked into the jail on an active warrant.
On 10/2/24, at approximately 4:44 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a deceased party at a residence in unincorporated Gilpin County. A coroner was also dispatched. A report was made.
On 10/3/24, at approximately 5:56 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to handle a theft by phone that occurred at the 1500 block of Robinson Hill Road. A report was taken.
On 10/4/24, at approximately 3:14 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries located at mile marker 1.3 on Highway 119. A report was made.
On 10/4/24, at approximately 5:51 p.m., deputies responded to the intersection of North Dory Lakes Drive and Dory Lakes Drive for a single vehicle crash. A report was taken.
On 10/4/24, at approximately 8:24 p.m., deputies responded to a 911 investigation in the 3500 block of Gap Road. A report was taken.
On 10/4/24, at approximately 11:32 p.m., deputies responded to a report of suspicious people in the 400 block of Bobtail Circle. A report was taken.
On 10/5/24, at approximately 3:28 p.m, deputies were dispatched to assist Black Hawk Police Department to the 200 block of High Street on a wildlife issue.
On 10/5/24, at approximately 2:22 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a vehicle fire at mile marker 2 on Central City Parkway. A report was made.
On 10/5/24, at approximately 2:26 p.m., deputies while on patrol responded to emergency tones for a burglary in progress located near the 100 block of Golden Dollar Drive in Central City. A report was made.
On 10/5/24, a person experiencing incarceration who was in the release process was booked in on one new out of county warrant. This individual was booked in on this new warrant and immediately released on their own recognizance without incident.
On 10/6/24, at approximately 9 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a dog issue at Central City Park located in the 3700 Block of Bald Mountain Road. A report was made.
On 10/6/24, at approximately 11:44 a.m., a deputy was approached by a pedestrian who had found property near mile marker 8. A report was made.
On 10/6/24, at approximately 1:12 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a 911 investigation located at 310 East First High Street. A report was made.
On 10/6/24, at approximately 7:41 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident located on the 1300 block of Highway 119.
On 10/6/24, at approximately 10:14 p.m., a deputy responded to the 1300 block of Highway 119 for a disturbance. A summons was issued.
On 10/7/24, at approximately 7:30 a.m., deputies responded to a call for service regarding a cold burglary located at the Z Stop. A report was made.
On 10/7/24, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Gilpin County deputies responded to the Gold Mountain Village apartments for the report of criminal mischief. Deputies arrived on scene and met with a reporting party stating his vehicle had been egged. The reporting party did not want to pursue charges.
On 10/8/24, at approximately 10:38 a.m., Gilpin County deputies arrested a male party at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office on a warrant and was processed into the Gilpin County detentions facility.
On 10/10/24, at approximately 3 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to possible fraudulent activity located in the 400 block of Mountain View Drive. A report was taken.
On 10/11/24, at approximately 12:14 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a cold criminal mischief located at the 100 block of Pinion Circle. The reporting party stated there was a hole in a sliding glass door. A case report was taken.
On 10/11/24, at approximately 8 p.m., deputies received a call regarding a theft. Dispatch advised the theft occurred at Famous Bonanza Casino located at 109 Main Street. A report was made.
On 10/12/24, at approximately 7:48 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Upper Apex Valley Road and Bald Mountain Road for a suicidal party. The party was transported by medical personnel.
On 10/13/24, at approximately 12:16 a.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Main Street for a sex crime. A report was taken.
On 10/13/24, at approximately 3:59 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the report of a suspicious person located at the 100 block of Hawk Way.
On 10/13/24, at approximately 10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a disturbance located at the Century Casino. A report was made.
On 10/15/24, at approximately 5:33 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy responded to the 16000 block of Highway 119 for a deer that had been hit and needed to be euthanized. The deputy utilized his
service pistol and fired one round, euthanizing the deer.
On 10/15/24, a deputy made contact with a male at Base Camp. A warrant was discovered for the male, but after further investigation it was revealed the warrant was not valid at this location. The male was released without incident.
On 10/16/24, at approximately 11:17 a.m., dispatch advised a deputy there was a civil issue to be handled by phone located at the 300 block of Foxtail Circle. A report was taken.
On 10/16/24, at approximately 1 a.m., a wallet was found and brought to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office. A report was taken.
On 10/16/24, at approximately 10:06 p.m., a deputy responded to 5300 block of Highway 119 on a welfare check. The subject of the welfare check was interviewed and a report was taken.
On 10/16/24, at approximately 9:40 p.m., deputies while on patrol conducted a traffic stop on the 100 block of Gregory Street on a gray F-150 without plates. A report was made.
On 10/17/24, at approximately 8:12 a.m., a male party contacted the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office to report that he could not find his driver's license. A report was made.
On 10/17/24, at approximately 3:12 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 15.1 on Highway 119. A female party was arrested for driving under the influence.
On 10/18/24, at approximately 3:32 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to 287 Mountain View Drive on a report of harassment. A warrant was requested and a report completed.
On 10/20/24, at approximately 7:50 a.m., a deputy was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of mile marker 3 on Highway 119. The driver was cited for traffic violations and a report was completed.
On 10/20/24, at approximately 8:10 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a report of a theft at 496 Creekwood Trail in Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 10/20/24, at approximately 9:53 p.m., deputies responded to the 300 block of Gregory Street for an abandoned suitcase. A report was taken.
On 10/22/24, at approximately 9:30 a.m., deputies with the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office assisted officers with the Black Hawk Police Department with a combative arrestee. He was transported to the Gilpin County Detention Facility where drug paraphernalia was removed from his clothing before he was transported.
On 10/24/24, at approximately 8 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a call regarding lost property that was lost at the 300 block of Gregory Street. A report was taken.
On 10/25/24, at approximately 7:12 p.m., an in-custody inmate was booked in on two new warrants.
On 10/28/24, at approximately 2:24 p.m., deputies responded to a civil issue handled over the phone. A report was taken.
On 10/28/24, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to 554 Old Hughesville Road. A report was made.
On 10/28/24, at approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies received a call regarding a littering complaint. A report was made.
On 10/31/24, at approximately 10 a.m., a Gilpin County investigator completed a phone report on identity theft in the 500 block of Aspen Lane.
On 10/31/24, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident at the Central City Parkway near mile marker 5. A report was made.
