Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office Report, October 2025
On 10/1/25, a deputy took a report over the phone for an alleged wallet theft that occurred at the Z Stop gas station. A report was later written.
On 10/1/25, a deputy with Gilpin County made a traffic stop at mile marker 12.5 Highway 119, Gilpin County. An arrest was later made.
On 10/2/25, at approximately 11:40 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a phone report for lost property at Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 10/2/25, a deputy took a report over the phone for a fraud complaint that allegedly occurred at Old Hughesville Road,Gilpin County. A report was later written.
On 10/2/25, at approximately 5:40 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with property damage only at the Century Casino. A report was taken.
On 10/3/25, at approximately 12 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a man down call in the area of 200 E. 1st High Street, Central City. While enroute, Colorado State Patrol and fire personnel were already conducting CPR. A report was completed.
On 10/4/25, at approximately 2:07 a.m., deputies responded to assist Black Hawk police on a traffic stop near mile marker 3 Highway 119, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 10/4/25, at approximately 4:06 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a fraud/forgery in the 300 block of Gregory Street, Central City. A report was taken.
On 10/4/25, at approximately 9:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 2900 block of Lump Gulch Road on a welfare check. Contact was not made and a report was taken.
On 10/5/25, at approximately 1 a.m., a deputy performed a traffic stop in the 500 block of Gregory Street, Central City. An adult male was taken into custody on an active warrant.
On 10/5/25, at approximately 12:45 a.m., a new warrant was discovered for a male already in Gilpin County custody.
On 10/7/25, a deputy took a report for stolen identity at Gilpin County sheriff's office. A report was later written.
On 10/7/25, a deputy took a report for a missing license plate at Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. A report was later written.
On 10/7/25, at approximately 4:20 p.m., an in-custody party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on one outstanding active, valid warrant. A report was later completed.
On 10/7/25, at approximately 5:42 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a harassment call to be handled by phone located at the 200 block of Lawrence Street, Central City. A report was taken.
On 10/8/25, at approximately 11:30 a.m., an in-custody party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on six outstanding active, valid warrants. A report was completed.
On 10/8/25, at approximately 12:40 p.m., Gilpin County Courts received a threatening phone call. A deputy responded to take a report.
On 10/9/25, at approximately 7:48 a.m., a deputy was contacted by an investigator with the FBI Denver field office regarding a possible fugitive in Gilpin County. The deputy conducted surveillance and was able to apprehend the suspect on a traffic stop a short time later.
On 10/9/25, at approximately 10:45 a.m., a deputy completed administrative tasks to properly process counterfeit bills on behalf of Central City police.
On 10/9/25, at approximately 8:13 a.m., a citizen experienced an attempt at fraud located at Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk. A deputy was dispatched, and a report was made.
On 10/9/25, at approximately 2 p.m., an in-custody party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on one outstanding active, valid warrant. A report was later completed.
On 10/9/25, at approximately 1:54 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a current person experiencing incarceration. The person was detained and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility.
On 10/9/25, at approximately 8:19 p.m., deputies took a phone report of an alleged protection order violation that occurred in the 90 block of South Dory Lakes Drive, Black Hawk.
On 10/10/25, at approximately 11:16 a.m., a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop at mile marker 7, Highway 119, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 10/10/25, at approximately 12:12 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Havilah Street, Central City, in regards to a disturbance. A female was arrested and a report was
made.
On 10/11/25, at approximately 10:26 p.m., a deputy observed a single vehicle accident in the area of South Beaver Creek Road and Highway 72.
On 10/12/25, at approximately 9:30 a.m., a deputy attempted a traffic stop at mile marker 20 on Highway 119.
On 10/13/25, at approximately 12:15 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Lower Moon Gulch Road, Black Hawk, in regards to a dog issue. A report was made.
On 10/13/25, at approximately 6 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a criminal mischief that occurred at the 800 block of Eagle Way, Black Hawk. A report was taken.
On 10/13/25, at approximately 9 p.m., deputies took a phone report for the allegation of harassment that occurred in the 100 block of Burt Street in Central City.
On 10/14/25, at approximately 7:49 a.m., a deputy was assisting Black Hawk police in attempting to locate a suspect in a stolen vehicle located at the Lady Luck Casino. The suspect was found and the deputy assisted police officers to apprehend the suspect.
On 10/14/25, at approximately 11:44 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to take a report of mail theft that occurred between 10/4 at midnight to 10/5 at midnight, at the intersection of Pactolus Lake Road and South Beaver Creek Road, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 10/15/25, a deputy took a report for a violation of a protection order reported by the probation office at Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. A report was later written.
On 10/15/25, at approximately 8:42 p.m., deputies responded at the request of Black Hawk police to the area of 120 Main Street, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 10/16/25, at approximately 12:50 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a report of harassment at Apex Valley Road, Central City. A report was made.
On 10/17/25, at approximately 10:33 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a white 2015 Ford Fusion, for no plates and for speeding in the area of Highway 46, Black Hawk. A report was completed.
On 10/17/25, a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident that involved an injury at the location of 1000 block, Paradise Valley Parkway, Black Hawk.
On 10/18/25, at approximately 8:09 a.m., deputies located decapitated livestock in the 500 block of Upper Apex Valley Road, near the Central City Cemetery. A report was taken.
On 10/18/25, at approximately 1 p.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a current person experiencing incarceration. The person was detained and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility.
On 10/18/25, at approximately 6:47 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a white 2010 Ford F-150 with fictitious plates and for speeding in the area 6800 block of Central City Parkway, Central City. A report was completed.
On 10/19/25, at approximately 6:06 p.m., the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office emergency communications center received a notification from a GPS device that assistance was needed in the 10500 block of Rollins Pass Road. It was later determined that a UTV had rolled into Yankee Doodle Lake.
On 10/20/25, at approximately 1:20 a.m., deputies responded to the Grand Z Casino on a
report of found drug paraphernalia. Items were booked for destruction and a report was taken.
On 10/20/25 at approximately 5:15 a.m., an individual arrived at the sheriff's office lobby to turn themselves in on a warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the individual was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 10/20/25, a deputy took a report over the phone for a cold motor vehicle accident with property damage only on the Central City Parkway mile marker 8. A report was made.
On 10/20/25, at approximately 8:38 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving injury at the 100 block of Forest Hill Road, Black Hawk.
On 10/21/25, at approximately 1:28 a..m., deputies were requested by Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop located at the 100 block of Highway 119, Golden.
On 10/21/25, at approximately 12:10 p.m., a deputy handled a noise complaint via telephone. A report was made.
On 10/21/25, a deputy received a REDDI report from a motorist at mile marker 2 on Highway 46, Gilpin County. A deputy later found the vehicle and a traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of Mountain Base Road and Highway 46.
On 10/22/25, at approximately 11:45 a.m., a deputy was in contact with an individual who was found to have an active warrant out of Gilpin County. The subject was taken into custody at Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 10/23/25, a deputy made an arrest at Nero Road, Gilpin County, serving a probable cause warrant. A report was later written.
On 10/24/25, at approximately 6:56 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a report of harassment located at Washington Avenue. A report was made.
On 10/24/25, at approximately 8:10 p.m., a deputy was sent to do a compliance check on a dog quarantine at the 400 block of Bobtail Drive, Central City.
On 10/25/25, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a deputy was conducting routine patrol in the 4500 block of Highway 119 in Gilpin County. While doing so, a deputy operating a marked patrol vehicle collided at slow speeds with another marked patrol vehicle which was stationary resulting in minor damage.
On 10/26/25, at approximately 1:36 a.m. deputies responded to the 300 block of Lodge Pole Drive, Gilpin County, on the report of a disturbance. Investigation disclosed the disturbance was verbal only and there was no criminal activity. A report was taken.
On 10/26/25, at approximately 2:01 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a violation of a protection order to be handled by phone in the 400 block of Long Trail Road, Black Hawk. A report was taken.
On 10/26/25, at approximately 6:17 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a disturbance in the 300 block of E. 1st High Street. Central City. A report was taken.
On 10/27/25, at approximately 5:01 a.m., a deputy observed a single vehicle crash in the 5000 block of Gap Road. Upon contact, it was determined that no driver or occupants were on scene. Colorado State Patrol was contacted to investigate the crash.
On 10/28/25, at approximately 9:30 a.m., a deputy handled a report of theft via telephone. A report was made.
On 10/28/25, at approximately 12:37 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident. A report was made.
On 10/28/25, an investigator with the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office assisted the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) with a case involving a missing person who previously resided in Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 10/28/25, at approximately 6:03 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a trespass at the 400 block of Caesar Road, Black Hawk. A report was taken.
On 10/29/25, at approximately 6:30 p.m., deputies took a phone report for alleged criminal mischief that occurred in the 6000 block of Virginia Canyon Road, Central City.
On 10/30/25, at approximately 11:38 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person experiencing incarceration. The person was detained and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility.
On 10/30/25, a deputy responded to the Century Casino parking garage for a reported hit and run. A report was later written.
On 10/30/25, at approximately 10:32 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop near the 200 block of Spring Street, Central City. A report was made.
On 10/31/25, at approximately 11:37 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a trespass call located at the 200 block of Moraine Drive, Rollinsville. A report was taken.
On 10/31/25, at approximately 2:15 p.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a current person experiencing incarceration. The person was detained and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility.
