Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office Report, June 2025
On 6/1/25, at approximately 12:40 a.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Main Street in Central City for a motor vehicle accident.
On 6/1/25, at approximately 5:47 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a fight in the
Gilpin County Jail.
On 6/1/25, deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash where parties got into an argument. Upon arrival parties were not yelling. The driver who backed into an unoccupied vehicle was contacted and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The investigation was turned over to the Colorado State Patrol.
On 6/2/25, at approximately 9:42 a.m., deputies responded to a harassment call in the 600 block of Paradise Valley Parkway, Black Hawk. A report was taken.
On 6/4/25, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a dog bite that occurred at the intersection of Venus Drive and Karlann Drive, Black Hawk. The owner of the dog was identified and issued a Gilpin County Courts summons.
On 6/4/25, a deputy responded to the Dory Lakes subdivision in Gilpin County for cold criminal mischief. A report was later taken.
On 6/5/25, at approximately 8:39 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the report of a traffic complaint located at the intersection of Old Hughesville Road and Hughesville Road, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 6/5/25, at approximately 9:44 a.m., sheriff's office deputies responded to a holding cell in the jail to remove an inmate that was causing damage to the cell. No injuries occurred. A report was later
completed.
On 6/5/25, at approximately 11:34 p.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding in unincorporated Gilpin County. The driver appeared to be under the influence and was arrested for further investigation. The party was charged for speeding and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or both.
On 6/6/25, at approximately 11:32 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Spring Street, Central City, for a disturbance. A report was taken.
On 6/7/25 at approximately 1:21 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the area of Lawrence Street and Church Street, Central City, on a report of a theft. The deputy was further advised the reporting party would be in the area. A report was taken.
On 6/7/25, at approximately 5 p.m., mental health hold processing was completed for a defendant in custody at the Gilpin County detention facility, who was on suicide protocol and for whom the courts had ordered her release. The person was transferred to hospital by emergency medical personnel.
On 6/7/25, a deputy stopped a vehicle related to a 911 call. The vehicle then drove away and attempted to elude the deputy. The driver fled on foot and was not pursued. A report was made and a warrant to be issued for numerous charges against the driver.
On 6/8/25, at approximately 3:01 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Gregory Street, Black Hawk, for a report of a stolen vehicle. A report was taken.
On 6/8/25, at approximately 2:58 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of a theft at the Dragon Tiger Casino. An adult male was arrested for a domestic violence related incident. A report was taken.
On 6/9/25, at approximately 11:03 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 2900 block of Dory Hill Road for a suspicious item. A report was taken.
On 6/9/25, at approximately 1:15 p.m., a deputy was conducting casino checks. While the deputy was at Dostal Alley Casino, the deputy was contacted by the owner who wanted to report a theft of a hanging flower basket
On 6/9/25, at approximately 9:15 p.m., deputies assisted officers from the Black Hawk Police Department with a traffic complaint.
On 6/10/25, at approximately 6:34 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a report of harassment that occurred at the Ameristar Casino. A report was taken.
On 6/10/25, at approximately 7:38 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a suicidal party located at Mammoth View Lane, Central City. A report was taken.
On 6/11/25, at approximately 4:09 a.m., an individual arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office lobby in order to turn themself in on a warrant. The individual was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 6/11/25, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a suicidal party near the 1700 block of Mountain Base Road, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 6/12/25, at approximately 5 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a dog bite located at the 2900 block of Lump Gulch Road, Black Hawk. A report was taken.
On 6/12/25, at approximately 5:51 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a 911 investigation located at the 100 block of Leon Lane, Golden. A report was taken.
On 6/13/25, a deputy was dispatched to the Central City Cemetery on a report of dead animals. The dead animals were located in the catholic cemetery, which were collected and disposed of. A report was completed.
On 6/13/25, at approximately 12:40 p.m., a deputy took a report regarding criminal mischief located at the Central City Catholic Cemetery.
On 6/13/25, a male party turned himself in on a warrant. He was booked in on the warrant. A report was later completed.
On 6/14/25, at approximately 7:22 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious incident. A report was completed.
On 6/14/25, at approximately 1:35 p.m., detention staff investigated and determined a person who was arrested in another jurisdiction and transferred to the Gilpin County Jail on a Gilpin County warrant, was not the same person for whom the warrant was issued. The person was released from custody and provided a courtesy ride.
On 6/14/25, a male party in custody had a warrant. He was booked in on that warrant without incident. A report was later completed.
On 6/15/25, at approximately 12:39 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a suspicious incident located in the vicinity of Smith Hill Road. A report was taken.
On 6/15/25, at approximately 11:22 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Upper Apex Valley Road, Central City, on a report of a sexual assault. A report was completed.
On 6/16/25, at approximately 4:26 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a potential burglary in progress in the 3300 block of South Beaver Creek Road.
On 6/16/25, at approximately 8:22 a.m., a deputy observed a parking problem in front of 440 Lawrence Street, Central City. A Central City parking violation ticket was issued and the vehicle was towed.
On 6/17/25, at approximately 11:48 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a call for service regarding a violation of a protection order near the 90 Block of S Dory Lakes, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 6/16/25, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a resident received a threatening text message at Wolf Road, Black Hawk. A report was taken.
On 6/16/25, at approximately 2 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the report of criminal mischief. A report was made.
On 6/17/25, at approximately 4:40 p.m., responders were dispatched to an unresponsive party at 100 block Main Street, Rollinsville. An investigation was conducted and a report was made.
On 6/19/25, at approximately 4:40 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a potential welfare check located near the 2900 block of Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk. A report was made.
On 6/21/25, at approximately 1:15 p.m., detention staff responded to an inmate housing unit for an in-progress fight between two inmates. Staff intervened, medical attention was provided to each combatant, and criminal charges were filed for both individuals.
On 6/22/25, at approximately 11:57 p.m., deputies responded to reports of vandalism at the 300 block of Gregory Street, Central City.
On 6/23/25, at approximately 9:12 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a violation of protection order to be handled by phone. A report was taken.
On 6/24/25, a deputy took a phone report of forgery. The victim called back later and did not want to pursue charges at this time. Case closed.
On 6/24/25, at approximately 2:51 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Lump Gulch Road and Mountain View Drive on a report of a disturbance in-progress. The suspects fled, a report was taken and warrants will be issued.
On 6/25/25, at approximately 1:13 p.m., deputies responded to Nero Road to take a report of harassment occurring through a cell phone.
On 6/25/25, at approximately 6:48 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a cold assault that occurred at the 100 block of Main Street, Central City. A report was taken.
On 6/26/25, at approximately 8:32 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop at the approximate location of mile marker 7 Central City Parkway, and arrested the driver on multiple warrants.
On 6/27/25, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a cold burglary that occurred at an unknown location located in Unincorporated Gilpin. A report was taken.
On 6/27/25, at approximately 2:50 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Karlann Drive, Black Hawk, for a report of found property. A firearm was turned over to deputies for safe keeping.
On 6/27/25, a deputy was dispatched to a possible trespass at the approximate location of 1200 block of Stone Road, Black Hawk.
On 6/28/25, at approximately 9:33 a.m., deputies were dispatched for a wildlife issue
involving an injured deer in the 1000 block of Highway 119. The deer was dispatched by deputies.
On 6/28/25, at approximately 8:52 p.m., deputies responded to Highway 119 near mile marker 4 on the report of a head-on collision with a vehicle in the creek. Deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol with the investigation. A report was completed.
On 6/29/25, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a party arrived in the sheriff's office lobby to hand themselves in on a warrant. The party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on two outstanding, active, valid warrants. A report was later completed.
On 6/29/25, at approximately 9:23 p.m., a deputy responded to the 400 block of Mammoth View Lane, Central City, to assist medics with a possible disturbance. Investigation disclosed that there was no criminal activity.
On 6/30/25, an individual in Gilpin County Sheriff's Office custody was given a PR bond and released. This individual was on an active suicide protocol watch and per Gilpin County Sheriffs Office policy, an emergency mental health hold was initiated. This individual was transported to Lutheran Medical Center on an M1 hold.
On 6/30/25, at approximately 6:33 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a dog issue near the 600 block of Lake Gulch Road, Central City. A report was made.
On 6/30/25, at approximately 7:08 p.m., deputies were dispatched to mile marker 18 on Highway 119 on an injury accident.
