On 6/1/20, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 14.5 on Highway 119. The driver possessed a revoked driver’s license and was issued a summons. 

On 6/1/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to a dog issue located on Carroll Ct. A report was taken. 

On 6/3/20, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop. A summons and a proof of service was completed. 

On 6/4/20, a Gilpin County deputy found an abandoned vehicle on Smith Hill Road. The vehicle was towed. 

On 6/4/20, a Gilpin County deputy assisted the Colorado State Patrol on a traffic accident on Highway 119.

On 6/5/20, a Gilpin County deputy stopped a vehicle on Lake Front Dr. because the driver was known to have a suspended driver’s license. The driver received a summons. 

On 6/6/20, a Gilpin County deputy responded to an illegal campfire 7600 Block Tolland Road. Upon arrival the fire was out, but there were still hot coals. Water on scene was used to put the fire out. Upon clearing the parties, one party was found to have a revoked license. A proof of service was issued. 

On 6/7/20, a Gilpin County deputy was conducting traffic enforcement. Two motorcycles were stopped and cited for reckless driving. A report was completed. 

On 6/7/20, a citizen delivered a dog at large to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office. A deputy responded and took custody of the dog. 

On 6/7/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to 142 Pine Dr, on a report of criminal mischief. After further investigation, a female party was issued a summons for defacing the boundary trees of the property. A case report was completed. 

On 6/7/20, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway. An arrest was made for DUI and a summons was completed. The party was released a short time later. 

On 6/8/20, a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office deputy received an email from the department`s evidence technician. In March 2019, an audit was completed of the Gilpin County Property and Evidence Vaults. The 11 items were located in a drawer with no markings, labels or tags. After conducting a thorough search of all records and locations, the described item(s) couldn`t be linked with an active or closed case. On June 8, 2020, said items were subsequently booked in as Found Property. No further action taken at this time. 

On 6/8/20, Gilpin County deputies responded to an ATV accident in the 2000 block of Pisgah Lake Road. Minor injuries reported, Off Highway Vehicle accident report made.

 

On 6/7/20, a Gilpin County deputy was conducting traffic enforcement. Two motorcycles were stopped and cited for reckless driving. 

On 6/11/20, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop. A female party involved was later arrested for violation of restraining order. 

On 6/13/20, Gilpin County deputies responded to mile marker 11.5 on Highway 119 for a shooting complaint. Several parties were contacted.  

On 6/14/20, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons. 

On 6/14/20, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 17 on Highway 119. The driver was arrested for a DUID and a passenger was arrested for a domestic violence warrant. 

On 6/15/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to mile marker 22.3 Highway 119, on a report of an animal lying in the middle of the roadway. The animal appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. The animal was moved off the highway. A report was completed. 

On 6/15/20, a Gilpin County deputy stopped a motorcycle for a stop sign violation. The driver of the motorcycle was found to be driving under restraint. Restraint was confirmed and the driver was issued a summons and proof of service. 

On 6/15/20, a Gilpin County deputy responded to a shooting complaint during the fire ban. Parties were contacted and a summons was issued for prohibited use of weapons. 

On 6/16/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to mile marker 14.3 Highway 119 on a report of an accident involving a motor vehicle and a bull elk. The elk appeared to have been hit by a vehicle due to the debris on the roadway. The animal was moved off the Hwy. A report was completed. 

On 6/17/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to a harassment call. A party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 6/20/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched on a cold theft, in Gilpin County. A report was completed. 

On 6/21/20, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop, an arrest was made, and a summons was completed. The party was released a short time later. 

On 6/22/20, Gilpin County deputies responded to the Century Casino, on the report of a belligerent male party who urinated in the parking garage. The male party lied about his identity and was found to have a warrant for his arrest. Deputies were unable to arrest the male party due to jail restrictions and he was released on summons for public indecency and false reporting. 

On 6/22/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to Dory Lakes Dr. on the report of a suspicious event. A report was taken. 

On 6/22/20, Gilpin County deputies contacted a motorcycle that had fallen over in the 3000 block of Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County. The driver was charged with driving under the influence and a case report was later completed.

On 6/22/20, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a counterfeit $10 bill at the Century Casino. 

On 6/23/20, two Gilpin deputies and two Colorado State Troopers were almost struck by a DUI driver on south Highway 119. The driver was later arrested. 

On 6/23/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the Grand Z Casino, on the report of a suspicious backpack. A party was later issued a criminal summons and a report was taken. 

On 6/23/20, Gilpin County deputies responded to Base Camp on the report of an in-progress disturbance. A male party associated with the incident was found to have an outstanding warrant. A report was generated to document the incident. 

On 6/25/20, a Gilpin County deputy discovered a stolen vehicle. Two suspects were taken into custody and released. 

On 6/26/20, a Gilpin County deputy responded to the area of Columbine Campground Rd on a shooting complaint. The male subject was located and issued a summons to appear in the Gilpin County Combined Courts. 

On 6/26/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to approximately mile marker 1 on Highway 119 to assist a trooper with the Colorado State Patrol. The trooper on scene requested a deputy generate a case report to document their involvement. 

On 6/26/20, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a stolen air pump from Taggerts.

On 6/26/20, a Gilpin County deputy was conducting traffic enforcement. A car was stopped and cited for speeding over the speed limit. 

On 6/27/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to Virginia Canyon Road in Central City, for a report of a trespass. A case report was later completed. 

On 6/27/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to a R.E.D.D.I (report every drunk driver immediately) report on a black Ford Escape, near mile marker 4.5 on Highway 119. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on the suspected vehicle. The driver was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on a warrant. 

On 6/28/20, a Gilpin County deputy observed a fight in-progress on Main Street in Black Hawk. The deputy attempted to stop the fight and three individuals fled the area on foot. Two others remained and continued to assault each other. The deputy stopped the fight and was kicked in the process. One female was issued a summons and transported to the hospital for severe alcohol intoxication. 

On 6/28/20, Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to Gap Road on a report of a cold assault. A male party was found in his driveway sitting on a lawn chair with apparent injuries. This case is still under investigation. 

On 6/28/20, Gilpin County deputies responded to the 1300 block of Highway 119 on the report of a possible overdose. The party was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. 

On 6/28/20, a car that had gone partially over the edge of the road on Mammoth Gulch was towed out and removed from the embankment and pulled it to Tolland Road where Black Hawk Towing took custody of the car. 

On 6/28/20, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to contact a party regarding harassing Facebook posts. The reporting party was located in Central City. A report was taken. 

On 6/29/20, a Gilpin County resident reported some unauthorized use of his financial credit card. A subject was identified and the bank is conducting an investigation. 

On 6/29/20, Gilpin County deputies received a call of a missing male party in the Central City area. An abandoned vehicle was located which belonged to the missing party. This case is still under investigation. 

On 6/29/20, a Gilpin County deputy responded to a residence for a cold burglary. A report was taken, and the case was forwarded to investigations. 

On 6/30/20, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a 1st degree criminal trespass at Gold Mountain Village. There is no suspect information, and a report was taken. 

On 6/30/20, a Gilpin County deputy responded to the 1300 Block of Gap Road for a possible stolen motor vehicle. After investigation, it was determined the vehicle was abandoned and not stolen. The vehicle was removed from the roadway per the owner’s request.
