On 7/1/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino located at 321 Gregory Street for a Trespass in progress. The party was escorted out of the property and a summons was issued.
On 7/1/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to a non-injury motor vehicle accident in Central City.
On 7/2/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to the 100 block of Jankowski Drive on an assist to Westminster Police. A small amount of suspect methamphetamine was collected from a recovered stolen vehicle. The suspected methamphetamine was logged into evidence at the request of Westminster Police.
On 7/3/20, a Gilpin County Deputy found property damage in the 100 Block of Academy Street in Central City. A case report was later completed.
On 7/3/20, Gilpin County Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Mt Thomas Drive on the report of a criminal mischief. Investigation disclosed that unknown persons entered the property by damaging a gate and drove across the property. A report was taken.
On 7/3/20, Gilpin County Deputies responded to a campground in the 600 block of Highway 46, on the report of an assault. Investigation disclosed that there was only a verbal argument and no charges were substantiated.
On 7/4/20, a Gilpin County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a cancelled license.
On 7/4/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. A report was completed.
On 7/4/20, Gilpin County Deputies contacted parties camping near the Knights of Pythias Cemetery on Upper Apex Road. The parties were advised there was no camping in the city. A female party associated with the incident was found to have an outstanding warrant. A report was generated to document the incident.
On 7/4/20, a Gilpin County Deputy assisted a Colorado Park and Wildlife Officer with a vehicle pursuit on Highway 46.
On 7/4/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to Highway 119 and Gap Road to assist an officer in another jurisdiction with a traffic stop. Investigation disclosed that one of the occupants was the subject of a restraining order with another occupant of the vehicle being the protected person. The restrained party was arrested and jailed at the Gilpin County Jail.
On 7/5/20, a Gilpin County Deputy was dispatched to mile marker 4 on Highway 119 to assist Colorado State Patrol. A report was taken.
On 7/5/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to the Century Casino for a counterfeit $50 bill. The male party who attempted to pass the bill also dropped his bag of methamphetamine. The male party was issued a summons for possession of a controlled substance.
On 7/5/20, a Gilpin County Deputy observed a male party slumped over in a running vehicle inside the Century Casino Parking Garage. The male party was arrested for DUI and possession of heroin.
On 7/5/20, a Gilpin County Deputy stopped a vehicle that had passed in a double yellow and almost caused a crash. Driver was issued a summons, report made.
On 7/5/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to a casino parking garage located in the 100 block of Lawrence Street, Central City CO 80427 on a criminal mischief call. A report was taken.
On 7/6/20, a Gilpin County Deputy stopped a vehicle for an expired Temporary license expired 11-2019. Driver was driving under restraint. A summons was issued. Report made.
On 7/7/20, Gilpin County Deputies were dispatched to the Z-Stop Gas Station located at 1351 Colorado Highway 119 on a report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, a male party was located on scene with injuries and was later transported to the hospital via Gilpin County Ambulance Services. This is still under investigation. A case report was completed.
On 7/7/20, a Gilpin County Deputy was dispatched to a residential address in Black Hawk for a drive by shooting. No suspects were found and a report was taken.
On 7/8/20, a Gilpin County Deputy took a cold report of theft from a hotel room. The possible suspect was unable to be contacted. There is no evidence or proof to show who took the money.
On 7/9/20, a Gilpin County Deputy was dispatched to a residence for a fight in progress. A male party was taken into custody and transported and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 7/9/20, a Gilpin County Deputy took a phone report of a protection order violation. An application was completed for an arrest warrant.
On 7/10/20, a Gilpin County Deputy intercepted a package mailed into the Gilpin County Jail for an inmate containing a small amount of Methamphetamine, preventing the narcotics from entering the jail population.
On 7/10/20, while processing an incoming release for an inmate, a Detention Deputy was notified by the NCIC/CCIC system of a warrant. The Inmate was advised of the pending warrant and was booked into the jail on that warrant.
On 7/11/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to the 300 block of Aspen Circle on the report of a disturbance. A party was issued a criminal summons and released to detox center.
On 7/12/20, The Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office took a report of missing or stolen mail from the mailboxes located on Gamble Gulch Road and Highway 119. A case report was completed.
On 7/12/20, Gilpin County Dispatch aired a possible REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) report. The report was for a Silver Pathfinder, the reporting party said the vehicle had almost hit several cars head-on while driving southbound Hwy 119. The vehicle had turned onto Gap Road and stopped. The vehicle was contacted and the driver was arrested for DUI and other charges.
On 7/12/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to a report of a hit and run in the Grand Z parking lot level 1. A report was later completed.
On 7/13/20, Gilpin County Deputies assisted Colorado Bureau of Investigations with a search warrant. Report was taken.
On 7/13/20, The Gilpin County Dispatch received a telephone call from a jobsite manager. The male party is managing several roadwork projects along Highway 119 between Mile Marker 17.5 through Mile Marker 23, and reported that a temporary employee was kicked off the jobsite. Later, a Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office Deputy contacted said employee and the person was given a courtesy ride into the town of Nederland.

On 7/17/20, a Gilpin County Deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on the Central City Parkway. The driver was found to be under restraint (Suspended). A summons was issued to the driver, report taken.
On 7/18/20, a Gilpin County Deputy took a report of a purse snatching theft from the Century Casino. A suspect was identified and a felony warrant will be sought.

On 7/18/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to the 100 block of Evergreen Road on the report of a disturbance. Investigation disclosed that unknown persons were trespassing on private property and became aggressive when confronted. A report was completed.
On 7/18/20, Gilpin County Deputies responded to assist Timberland Fire Department with a smoke sighting observed near Missouri Gulch. Once the fire was extinguished, a preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was likely human caused and accidental. Evidence was collected and an investigation was initiated.

On 7/19/20, Gilpin County Deputies responded to an address off Hughesville Road, on the report of a disturbance with swords. One male party was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation and issued a summons.
On 7/20/20, a Gilpin County Deputy spoke with a citizen who reported being involved in an email scam of which the citizen was scammed for $1,500.00.
On 7/20/20, a Gilpin County Deputy took a phone report of theft from a motor vehicle. An individual privately sold a vehicle and failed to remove the license plates. That purchaser of the vehicle has since received a photo radar speeding ticket and multiple toll bills. The purchaser has refused to return the license plates, so they have been entered as stolen.
On 7/21/20, a Gilpin County Deputy was dispatched to a vehicle trespass in progress at level 2 of the Century Parking Garage located at 111 Lawrence Street. This case has been forwarded to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office Investigation Division for further analysis.
On 7/22/20, a citizen came to the Sheriff’s Office to report two guitars missing from his residence. A report was taken.
On 7/23/20, a Gilpin County Deputy assisted Black Hawk Police Department on a stolen vehicle stop. A report was later completed.
On 7/23/20, Gilpin County Deputies responded to the report of people inside a vacant building. The owner will be contacted to determine if charges will be filed.

On 7/24/20, a Gilpin County Deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Gregory Street and Spring Street in Central City. A report was later completed.

On 7/26/20, a Gilpin County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Gregory Street and the driver was issued a summons for driving while revoked for an alcohol offense.
On 7/26/20, a Gilpin County Deputy observed a theft occur from a Gilpin County Public Works facility. A female was issued a summons for driving while license under restraint and no proof of insurance.
On 7/27/20, a Gilpin County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The vehicle eluded and charges are being pursued.
On 7/27/20, a Gilpin County Deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Gregory St. on the report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was towed and a report taken.
On 7/27/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino, on the report of two intoxicated individuals. A male party was issued a summons for violating a protection order and transported to the hospital. A female party was arrested for DUI.

On 7/29/20, a Gilpin County Deputy took a report of possible Fraud and Forgery. The reporting party responded to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office located at 2960 Dory Hill Road to report the incident. This case is still under investigation. A Case report was completed.

On 7/29/20, a Gilpin County Deputy responded to a rolling disturbance that ended at the Lady Luck Casino parking garage. The incident was investigated and a male party was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol and a report was written.
On 7/31/20, a Gilpin County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119 for speeding, 72 MPH in a posted 45 MPH zone. The driver was arrested for DUI.
