On 1/1/22 at approximately 11 p.m. Gilpin County deputies, Gilpin medics, and Central City Fire were dispatched to the 200 block of East 4th High St, Central City on the report of a suicidal subject. The subject was transported to a hospital for evaluation and care.
On 1/3/22 at approximately 9:27 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Black Hawk Street and Main Street in reference to a citizen assist and an arrest was made with a report completed.
On 1/3/22 at approximately 4:23 p.m. deputies were on an “attempt to locate” call in Black Hawk. The subject had a warrant out of Denver Police Department.
On 1/4/22 at approximately 3:22 a.m. a Deputy responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a private lot at the 400 block of Lawrence St, Central City. A party was issued a proof of service and a driver`s license was seized.
On 1/4/22 at approximately 11:53 a.m. a Deputy responded to an unresponsive suicidal male party in the Rollinsville Area. The male party was found to be deceased upon arrival.
On 1/5/22 at approximately 7:55 a.m. a deputy was performing stationary traffic enforcement in the School Zone located at 10.5 Highway 119, Black Hawk, when the deputy heard a traffic complaint. The vehicle and occupants were later located and a report was completed.
On 1/5/22 at approximately 9:11 a.m. a deputy assisted the Colorado State Parks and Wildlife Rangers with transporting several parties in-custody on out-ofcounty warrants.
On 1/5/22 at approximately 2:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a report of a disturbance with medical personnel who were enroute for a patient with a heart condition at Century Casino at 102 Main St, Central City, A report was completed.
On 1/7/22 at approximately 1:30 p.m. deputies were dispatched to Nederland in reference to an incident that was reported to Nederland PD that took place in Gilpin County. Deputies conducted an investigation and report was completed.
On 1/8/22 a deputy was conducting an area check in the Century Casino parking garage in Central City. A welfare check was completed on a vehicle with an occupant who was asleep. It was discovered the vehicle had a fictitious plate attached and the occupant was in violation of a restraining order because of drug stipulations. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were confiscated and a report was completed.
On 1/9/22 at approximately 8:32 a.m. deputies were dispatched to 102 Main Street in Central City to cover the Division of Gaming on a call. Deputies and Gaming officers contacted and arrested a male party inside the Famous Bonanza casino with several active warrants.
On 1/10/22 at approximately 11:15 a.m. a deputy assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a DUI investigation by administering an Evidential Breath Alcohol Test to an in-custody subject.
On 1/10/22 at approximately 12:03 p.m. a deputy was flagged down by a motorist and was informed of a suspicious vehicle, which was described as a Silver Honda sedan, with two male parties who appeared to be doing drugs at the Rollinsville Post Office located at 143 Main St, Rollinsville. A party was arrested on unrelated charges and a report was completed.
On 1/10/22 at approximately 7:43 a.m. a Deputy located a stolen vehicle near mile marker 6 on the Central City Parkway, Central City. The registered owner was contacted and a report taken.
On 1/12/22 at approximately 9:15 a.m. a Deputy was dispatched to the Century Casino located at 102 Main St, Central City on a report of criminal mischief to property resulting in $1000 to $5000 worth of damage. A report was completed.
On 1/12/22 at approximately 11:00 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in Black Hawk on the report of two at-large dogs that had killed a rooster. The dogs were transported to the sheriff’s office, a summons was issued to the owner, and contact information exchanged for restitution discussions.
On 1/12/22 at approximately 2:45 p.m. Deputies were booking a male party in custody on two Black Hawk warrants and discovered active warrants for other counties including Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office and Jefferson County Sheriff`s Office that he was also booked in and held for.
On 1/14/22 a Gilpin County Deputy responded to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office lobby on the report of harassment. A deputy met with a male party who stated he was being harassed by a neighbor and had texted threatening texts to another neighbor. The male party did not want to press charges but requested a welfare check be done. A welfare check was conducted. Nothing further.
On 1/14/22 at approximately 10:19 p.m. Gilpin County Deputies, Central City Fire, and Gilpin County EMS were dispatched to the 400 block of Bobtail Hill Circle, Central City on the report of a suicidal person. The person was transported to the hospital and a report taken.
On 1/14/22 at approximately 10:52 p.m. Gilpin County deputies responded to the 2700 block of South Beaver Creek Road, to conduct a welfare check. Deputies arrived on scene where a male party was evaluated for a mental health hold and was determined to not need one.
On 1/16/22 at 10:08 p.m. a deputy responded to the 300 block of Columbine Lane, unincorporated Gilpin County, on a burglary in-progress. The caller reported that she heard noises like somebody was inside of her residence after returning from a trip. Upon arrival her residence was cleared and nobody was located inside. Evidence of a burglary was found and a report was taken.
On 1/17/22 at approximately 8:30 a.m. a deputy found an abandoned vehicle in the 5800 block of the Central City Parkway in Central City. The vehicle was towed and a case report was later completed.
On 1/17/22 at approximately 4:05 p.m. an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrant.
On 1/18/22 at approximately 8:45 a.m. Gilpin County Sheriff’s deputies discovered a broken lock on a storage unit at 816 Russell Gulch Road in Central City. A report was completed.
On 1/19/22 at approximately 8:47 a.m. Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to a call of criminal mischief, telephone or online harassment and threats of injury. The events were documented and a report was completed.
On 1/20/22 Gilpin County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to 103 Nevada Street in Central City on a report of theft. A report was made.
On 1/20/22 at approximately 9:55 a.m. Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to 19137 Highway 119 on a call of identity theft. a report was completed.
On 1/20/22 Gilpin County Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving injuries located at 600 block of Lake Gulch Drive, Central City. A report was completed.
On 1/21/22 a deputy responded to a structure fire in mid-county. The deputy conducted an investigation and completed a report on the incident.
On 1/23/22 a deputy was conducting a pat down for contraband on a person that was arrested and an unknown white powdery substance in a small clear baggie was located on the person.
On 1/23/22 at approximately 8:23 p.m. Gilpin County Deputies, Black Hawk Police, Gilpin EMS, and Central City Fire, were dispatched to a disturbance located at 400 block of Mammoth View Lane, Central City. A party was arrested for third degree assault and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 1/24/22 at approximately 11:28 a.m. deputies were dispatched to Black Hawk in reference to a Criminal Mischief call. Deputies responded and a report of property damage was completed.
On 1/25/22 at approximately 11:45 a.m. a Deputy was releasing an inmate. Before being released it was found that the inmate also had a warrant out of Jefferson County. The inmate was booked in and released on this warrant which was a $500 personal recognizance bond.
On 1/26/22 at approximately 8:25 a.m. a Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office Deputy received a complaint regarding their dog having been attacked by a neighbor’s dogs.
On 1/26/22 at approximately 8:10 p.m. a Gilpin County deputy took a report on an assault that had occurred in the Gilpin County Jail. No charges were filed due to uncooperative witnesses.
On 1/27/22 at approximately 8:30 a.m. Gilpin County Deputies were dispatched on a call of a vehicle throwing mail out of a purple Jeep. A report was completed.
On 1/28/22 at 3:53 p.m. a deputy responded to the 500 block of Dudes Drive, unincorporated Gilpin County, and towed an abandoned vehicle that was tagged as abandoned on 1/16/22.
On 1/28/22 at approximately 6:54 p.m. Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Gap Road and Pioneer Road for an abandoned vehicle. A deputy arrived on scene, found a car parked in the middle of the road, and had it towed. A report was made.
On 1/30/22 at approximately 4:18 p.m. deputies were dispatched to Central City in reference to an assault call and a summons was issued and a report was completed.
On 1/31/22 at approximately 3:17 p.m. Deputies were advised of a hit and run at Highway 6 MM 268 in Golden. The victim reported to state patrol that a Smart Car bearing CO AQD96 hit his vehicle and kept driving.
