On 1/1/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the Z - Stop Gas station, located at 1351 CO-119 to cover Colorado State Patrol on roadsides. The male party was subsequently arrested and a report was later completed.

On 1/1/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to contact a Boulder County Sheriff’s deputy regarding a three-year-old assault which may have occurred somewhere in Gilpin County.  A report was taken.

On 1/2/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to Grand Z Casino on a report of a disturbance.  A report was completed. 

On 1/2/21, a Gilpin County deputy had an abandoned vehicle towed from the 200 block of South Beaver Creek Road. A case report was later completed.

On 1/3/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to a medical emergency with CPR in progress.  A report was completed.

On 1/4/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to a motor vehicle accident at mile marker 5, Central City Parkway. A report was taken.

On 1/4/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of an identity theft from the 200 block of Bear Crossing Road. 

On 1/4/21, a Gilpin County deputy made a traffic stop in the 5000 block of Highway 119.  The driver was issued a summons for driving without insurance, displaying fictitious license plate and driving when license was under restraint.

On 1/6/21, the GCSO Investigations Section began an investigation into the sale of a stolen article to Blackjack Pawn that occurred 11/21/20. 

On 1/7/21, Timberline Fire, Gilpin Ambulance Authority and Gilpin Deputies responded to an address off Karlann Drive for CPR in progress. Lifesaving attempts were administered, but were unsuccessful and one party was pronounced deceased.

On 1/7/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a fraudulent unemployment insurance claim.

On 1/7/21, property that was found on the side of road in the 2400 block of Dory Hill Road was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office to locate the owner. 

On 1/9/21, a Gilpin County Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Gregory Street. The driver`s license was found to be cancelled/denied. A summons was issued and a case report was later completed.

On 1/10/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop at 161 Gregory Street and a report was taken.

On 1/10/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of possible stolen hubcaps from a vehicle parked in the Century Casino Parking Garage.   

On 1/10/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a theft that took place in the 300 Block of Evergreen Road. A case report was later completed.

On 1/11/21, a Gilpin County deputy made a traffic stop in the 6500 block of the Central City Parkway. The driver was issued a summons for driving a motor vehicle while their driver’s license was suspended. A case report was later completed.

On 1/11/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons for driving while license suspended, no insurance and unregistered vehicle.

On 1/12/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop at approximately mile marker 6.8 of the Central City Parkway. The driver was issued a summons and a report was later completed. 

On 1/12/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop in Black Hawk for no registration. The driver was issued a summons for no license, no insurance and unregistered vehicle.

On 1/13/21, a request to assist another agency in a criminal investigations was completed by conducting a follow up interview. 

On 1/13/21, a Gilpin County deputy was advised there was a male party in the lobby that wanted to talk to a deputy to report an assault.

On 1/14/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Grand Z Casino Parking Garage. The driver switched seats with a passenger and attempted to hide in the backseat. The driver came back with six active warrants for his arrest, an attempt to locate from Denver Police Department for rape and had a revoked driver's license for being a habitual traffic offender. The driver was released on a summons, due to the jail not accepting certain warrants as a result of Covid-19.

On 1/15/21, Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to a vehicle that had slid off the road.  Deputies later located the vehicle and found that the vehicle was involved in a crash. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and was claiming injury. Members of Timberline Fire and Black Hawk Fire Department extricated the driver and he was transported to the hospital for treatment. The Colorado State Patrol investigated the crash.

On 1/15/21, a Gilpin County investigator was called out to assist the Northglenn Police Department with conducting a Drug Influence Evaluation on a subject recently arrested for the investigation of Driving under the Influence. The evaluation was completed and a report generated. 

On 1/15/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a stolen package containing 224 suboxone prescriptions. 

On 1/15/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched on a report of an unattended death on Lodge Pole Drive. A case report was later completed.

On 1/16/21, Gilpin County Police responded to the discovery of an abandoned vehicle on Highway 119 mile marker 2. The vehicle was towed and a report was taken.

On 1/17/21, Gilpin County deputies responded to a disturbance in progress in unincorporated Gilpin County.  An arrest was made and a case report was later completed.

On 1/17/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of theft by telephone. The theft occurred in cyberspace and the victim lived in unincorporated Gilpin County. A case report was later completed.

On 1/19/21, a Gilpin County deputy received, via email, a complaint involving a Colorado unemployment claim that was not made by the reporting person. The reporting person was provided information to assist them in this endeavor.

On 1/19/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to a roll-over accident on the Central City Parkway.  The deputy investigated the crash and completed a report.

On 1/19/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to 100 Academy Street, Central City, on a report of a cold burglary. A report was completed.

On 1/20/21, Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to Central City on a report of an altercation between a male and female where shots were fired.  A male and female party were found deceased in an upstairs bedroom. A report was completed. 

On 1/20/21, a Gilpin County deputy did a welfare check on a resident the family had not been able to contact. The resident was found deceased. Case report was completed.

On 1/21/21, Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to the Z-Stop Gas Station on the report of a suspicious vehicle. The suspicious vehicle was located, and the driver issued a criminal summons for DUI.

On 1/21/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of someone`s information being used to fraudulently file for unemployment.  A report was completed for the incident.

On 1/21/21, Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to a cold assault call located at the 800 block of Karlann Drive. A party was discovered to be severely intoxicated. The intoxicated party was put in an ambulance and transported to a hospital. While being transported, the intoxicated party assaulted a Paramedic. A report was taken. 

On 1/22/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to level four of the Grand Z Casino Parking Garage, located at 321 Gregory Street, for a vehicle trespass. A report was taken.

On 1/23/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of unemployment fraud.

On 1/23/21, a Gilpin County deputy completed a certified VIN inspection for a resident. 

On 1/24/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with property damage only in the area of Gap Road and Highway 119. A deputy was further advised wildlife was hit by the motor vehicle and the moose was injured and was on the side of the highway. The wildlife later was put down. A report was completed. 

On 1/24/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Smith Hill Road and Highway 119 on a report of a vehicle that drove into a ditch. The vehicle was towed, the driver was sent to the hospital for treatment and a case report was later completed.

On 1/24/21, a Gilpin County deputy was asked to contact the Longmont Police Department concerning a crime that was reported to them that took place somewhere in Gilpin County Colorado. A case report was later completed.

On 1/25/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop at 255 Main Street and a report was taken.

On 1/25/21, a Gilpin County deputy was conducting stationary traffic enforcement in a marked patrol vehicle facing northbound on the Central City Parkway. When the deputy observed a vehicle do a traffic violation. A summons was completed and a proof of service was done.  

On 1/26/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and a drug. The vehicle is listed as a reported stolen vehicle out of Arapahoe County Sheriff`s Office. The driver was arrested on numerous charges and the stolen vehicle was recovered.

On 1/26/21, a Gilpin County deputy contacted a party that was parked on the south bound shoulder of Highway 119 at about mile marker 12. The driver was found to be having a medical emergency. Paramedics were called and the driver was transported to a hospital for care. A case report was later completed.

On 1/27/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Grand Z Casino Parking Garage. Three parties in the vehicle came back with a total of six active warrants for their arrest. No arrests could be made due to Gilpin Jail Covid-19 restrictions. The driver was issued a summons for driving while license is under restraint.

On 1/27/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to contact a party regarding his license plates being misused by the new owner of a vehicle that was sold. The party was never given his license plates back after the vehicle was sold. A report was completed and the license plates were entered into NCIC/CCIC as lost or stolen.

On 1/27/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop in Black Hawk. The driver had two active warrants for her arrest, but could not be booked into Gilpin Jail due to Covid-19 jail restrictions. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a revoked license and no insurance.

On 1/29/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a counterfeit bill at the Century Casino.

On 1/30/21, a deputy discovered a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Lawrence Street. Due to Covid restrictions the driver was not arrested, a warrant shall be issued and a case report was completed.

On 1/31/21, Gilpin County deputies located a stolen vehicle on level three of the Grand Z Parking Garage, located at 321 Gregory Street. A suspect was later identified and a report was taken.

On 1/31/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a drunk driver in the 100 block of Vera Marie Lane in Rollinsville. The deputy arrested the suspect for driving under the influence.  A case report was later completed.

On 1/31/21, a Gilpin County deputy was conducting stationary traffic enforcement on Central City Parkway, mile marker 7.1. A summons and a proof of service was issued. 

On 1/31/21, Gilpin County deputies had to use force on an intoxicated male party that was being processed into the Gilpin County Jail.
