On 4/1/22, at 3:53 p.m., deputies responded to a possible suicidal person in Central City. A citizen was deemed to be a danger to themselves and was transported to a hospital.
On 4/2/22, at approximately 11 p.m., a deputy assisted Colorado State Patrol with an accident at mile marker 2, Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County.
On 4/4/22, at approximately 10:21 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to Central City in reference to a disturbance call. A report was completed.
On 4/3/22, approximately 12:59 p.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to Black Hawk in reference to a cold burglary call. A report was completed.
On 4/3/22, at approximately 6:43 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a disturbance in Central City.
On 4/3/22, at approximately 11:50 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the possible theft of credit cards at EZ Street Casino.
On 4/4/22, at approximately 10:56 a.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to Black Hawk in reference to a party with arrest warrants. An arrest was made and a report was completed.
On 4/4/22, at approximately 10:56 a.m., Gilpin County deputies arrested a party for Felony Drug/ Narcotic violation. A report was completed.
On 4/5/22, at approximately 4 p.m., deputies responded to Central City for a report of trespassing. One suspect was arrested for burglary and another was issued a summons for possession of a controlled substance. A case report was later completed.
On 4/5/22, at approximately 4 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Virginia Canyon Road in Central City for a report of trespassing. During the course of that investigation, a suspect was found to be in possession of narcotics. A citation was issued and a case report was later completed.
On 4/6/22, at approximately 1:20 p.m., a deputy working in the jail was informed there was a male party in the lobby of the Sheriff’s office to turn themselves in on a warrant. The deputy responded and spoke with the male party. The warrant was confirmed with dispatch, which was for theft $2,000-$5,000, with a bond of $25,000 cash only. The male party was brought into the jail at 1:30 p.m., and booked into the facility without incident.
On 4/7/22, deputies responded to a suicidal inmate in the Gilpin County Jail.
On 4/8/22, at approximately 7:58 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the Gilpin County Recreation Center located at 250 Norton Drive in reference to an abandoned vehicle and trailer. Vehicle was towed and a report was completed.
On 4/8/22, at approximately 1:01 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was contacted by a male party who wanted to report a lost property at the Gilpin County Courts entrance located at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, Colorado. A report was completed.
On 4/9/22, at approximately 1:51 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a disturbance at Z Stop gas station, Gilpin County, Colorado. The reporting party stated that his husband pulled a gun on her and tried to shoot at her.
On 4/10/22, at approximately 1:01 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Central City. Gilpin County Communications advised that Denver Health Nurse Line wants a welfare check on a patient at that location.
On 4/10/22, at approximately 9:58 p.m., a deputy was advised by a Gaming Officer, that she had possibly seen a wanted suspect out of the Saratoga wearing a gray beanie.
On 4/11/22, at approximately 1:04 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Central City in reference to a property damage crash. Deputies responded and a report was taken.
On 4/11/22, a report of a body found was relayed to dispatch. Deputies responded and a report of a death was taken.
On 4/11/22, at approximately 11:45 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street in Central City for a report of a stolen jacket. It was determined the jacket was not stolen and no items were missing from the jacket. A case report was later completed.
On 4/11/22, a female called 911 to report a domestic violence incident. Deputies arrived on scene and an arrest was made.
On 4/11/ 22, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to approximately Black Hawk for the report of a death. Paramedics on scene confirmed the party deceased. A deputy coroner was dispatched and a report was made.
On 4/12/22, at approximately 3:10 p.m., a deputy took a report for a violation of protection order at the Gilpin County Jail located at 2960 Dory Hill Road in unincorporated Gilpin County. A case report was later completed.
On 4/12/22, at approximately 4:22 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a report of an assault that had been reported from hospital staff at a local medical center. Deputies spoke to the reporting party over the phone and a report was created.
On 4/13/22, in Idaho Springs, members of the Rocky Mountain Combined Tactical Team arrested a male party on a warrant service. A report was later completed.
On 4/13/22, at approximately 2:14 a.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to the area of Bridge Street and Spring Street in Central City for the report of a motor vehicle accident. While on scene for the initial accident, a second accident occurred. A counter report was made for the first accident and a deputy made an accident report for the second.
On 4/14/22, at approximately 2:19 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a report of fraud involving a resident of Central City. A report was taken.
On 4/15/22, at approximately 3:01 a.m., a deputy assisted Colorado State Patrol with an accident at mile marker 1.6, Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County.
On 4/15/22, a deputy took a report of a computer crime with the intent to defraud. The case is active, still under investigation.
On 4/15/22, a deputy responded to a welfare check in Central City. The party was not contacted, however the mother was and would advise if law enforcement was needed.
On 4/15/22, medical and fire personnel responded to a medical call at the apartments. The patient stated her husband beat her. Law enforcement was requested and a report was taken.
On 4/15/22, at approximately 7:27 p.m., a deputy responded to an accident at mile marker 5, Central City Parkway.
On 4/16/22 at approximately 7:34 p.m., a deputy took a phone report regarding a harassing text message. The message may have been sent from a location somewhere in Gilpin County.
On 4/16/22, at approximately 9:32 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a disturbance, no arrests were made, and an incident report was taken.
On 4/16/22, at approximately 10:33 p.m., deputies responded to assist the Colorado State Patrol in affecting an arrest warrant in unincorporated Gilpin County. The individual named in the arrest warrant was located and taken into custody.
On 4/18/22, at approximately 12:44 a.m., the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a possible drunk driver. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in approximately the 13700 block of Highway 119. A male party was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. A report was made.
On 4/18/22, at approximately 5:14 p.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to an address in unincorporated Gilpin County in reference to a disturbance in progress. a report was completed.
On 4/19/22, a deputy completed a certified VIN inspection for a resident.
On 4/19/22, at approximately 11:02 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Black Hawk, on a report of fraud. It was further advised that the call could be handled by phone. A report was completed.
On 4/20/22, at approximately 4:26 p.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrant.
On 4/21/22, at 7:38 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a suspicious item left in the area of the 200 block of Casey Street in Central City.
On 4/21/22, at approximately 9:28 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) located at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, Gilpin County. The deputy was further advised the party was in the lobby of the GCSO to report a burglary.
On 4/22/22, at approximately 1:20 a.m., deputy assisted Colorado State Patrol with a traffic stop at mile marker 4.6, Highway 119, unincorporated Gilpin County.
On 4/22/22, at approximately 6:06 p.m., the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call about a potential drug violation in the 100 Block of Foxtail Circle. A report was made.
On 4/22/22, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Foxtail Circle for the report of a cold burglary. A Gilpin County deputy arrived on scene and discovered that the landlord for the property had removed some items, determined that a burglary had not taken place, and that the issue was civil, not criminal. A report was made.
On 4/23/22, at approximately 4:10 p.m., a male claimed he was going to kill himself. A deputy arrived and was unable to locate the male. A bolo was put out for the male.
On 4/25/22, at approximately 4:14 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle located at mile marker 13 on Highway 119. Upon arrival the vehicle failed to stop after deputies activated their emergency lights indicating for the driver to stop. After a brief time attempting to stop the vehicle deputies made the decision to stop following the vehicle out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the motoring public. A report was taken.
On 4/25/22, at approximately 6:20 a.m., a deputy responded to a suspicious person report. A deputy located a party inside a crashed vehicle who was highly intoxicated. The person was arrested for DUID and multiple out of state felony warrants.
On 4/25/22, at approximately 9:49 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched within the 100 block of Carroll Court, Black Hawk, for the report of a suspicious incident. A deputy arrived on scene to investigate the incident. A report was made.
On 4/26/22, at approximately 12:32 a.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to the Z Stop gas station for the report of a disturbance. Colorado State Patrol stopped a vehicle related to the disturbance on Highway 6 in which a male suspect was taken into custody. A report was made.
On 4/26/22, at approximately 1250 p.m., a Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office deputy was made aware of a reported sexual assault on a child that occurred years prior. The victim at that time was a child.
On 4/26/22, at approximately 1:07 hours, a deputy was dispatched to a criminal mischief report located at Central City Fire Station #2 (CCFD). A report was completed.
On 4/26/22, at approximately 7:22 p.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched within the 100 block of Leon Lane, for the report of a disturbance. A deputy arrived on scene and found all parties involved to be ok. A report was made.
On 4/27/22, at approximately 1:45 a.m., multiple active, valid warrants were discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrants.
On 4/27/22, a deputy took a theft and false reporting to a pawn broker report.
On 4/27/22, at approximately 7:32 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Foxtail Circle, Black Hawk, for the report of a cold burglary. A deputy arrived on scene and took a report.
On 4/27/22, at approximately 9:38 p.m., a deputy was stationary at the intersection of Gregory Street and Springs Street in Central City. The deputy saw a dark color vehicle driving the wrong way on the road. During the course of the traffic stop the deputy determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was issued a summons.
On 4/28/22, at approximately 2:39 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident at approximately mile marker 3 Highway 119, Black Hawk.
On 4/28/22, a deputy completed a certified vin inspection for a resident.
On 4/28/22, at approximately 2:42 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to assist another agency (Summit County Sheriff’s Office - SCSO). A report was completed.
On 4/28/22, at approximately 2:34 a.m., a deputy was traveling Southbound at approximately mile marker 4.8, Highway 119, unincorporated Gilpin County. A deputy observed two parties on the floor of the vehicle. Further investigation ended with the arrest of a female for Domestic Violence.
On 4/29/22, at approximately 5:10 p.m., deputies took a phone call regarding a suspicious incident while on duty at the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office, located at 2960 Dory Hill Road in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 4/30/22, at approximately 3:29 a.m., a deputy was stopped by a citizen at the Century Casino located in Central City. The citizen stated that her wallet was stolen from the Casino property.
On 4/30/22, at approximately 5:30 a.m., deputies responded in Black Hawk, in reference to burglary and a report was taken.
On 4/30/22, at 3:16 p.m., the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office received information that a kidnapped child may be in the 600 block of Brewery Drive, Central City. Investigation disclosed that the child was not there.
On 4/30/22, at approximately 7:54 p.m., deputies received a report of a potential fraud while on duty at the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office, located at 2960 Dory Hill Road in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
