On 5/2/ 22, at approximately 9 a.m., a deputy took a report of a civil issue.
On 5/2/22, at approximately 5:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Black Hawk in reference to a criminal mischief and a report was taken.
On 5/3/22, at approximately 11:18 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle (silver minivan) at Central City. From prior knowledge the deputy knew a 2009 silver minivan bearing Washington plates had an associated wanted person. Upon contact, two parties were arrested for warrants. A report was completed.
On 5/3/22, at approximately 6:24 p.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to Trail Dust Road, Black Hawk, in reference to a disturbance call. A report was completed.
On 5/3/22, at approximately 8:55 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a call for service via phone in reference to a cold assault case that occurred in Gilpin County. A report was completed.
On 5/3/22, a female in custody stated she had narcotics on her person before entering the Gilpin County Jail. Assist to other agency.
On 5/4/22, at approximately 8:23 a.m., a deputy responded to a crash in the 7500 block of the Central City Parkway in Central City. A case report was later completed.
On 5/4/22, a party was arrested on a warrant in the Gilpin County Combined Courts lobby located at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk. A report was later completed.
On 5/4/22, at approximately 2 p.m., deputies were dispatched to perform a welfare check on a reportedly suicidal subject somewhere in Gilpin County. The subject was eventually located and sent to the hospital for mental health treatment. A case report was later completed.
On 5/4/22, at approximately 3:28 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched in reference to a male party who was calling from Annie Oakley’s Emporium in Central City, to report a stolen vehicle. A report was completed.
On 5/4/22, at approximately 3:52 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy responded to Black Hawk, in reference to assisting another agency to recover a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered and towed.
On 5/4/22 at approximately 8:31 p.m., an adult male turned himself in on a domestic violence warrant in the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff’s office. This party was also found to be in violation of a protection order and subsequently arrested on both the warrant and the new charge without incident.
On 5/5/22, at approximately 11:47 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious person in the area of mile marker 3 Highway 119, Black Hawk. The deputy was further advised; the person was using a reciprocating saw under a vehicle. The party was arrested on a warrant and local charges. A report was completed.
On 5/6/22 at approximately 4:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Lodge Casino to assist gaming with taking a fugitive into custody. The suspect was arrested on his outstanding warrant for homicide, with minimal force being used. No party was injured and the suspect was booked into the Gilpin County Detentions Facility.
On 5/7/22, a deputy took a report of a theft.
On 5/8/22, at approximately 8:52 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of Eureka Street, Central City, on the report of a motor vehicle crash. A report was taken.
On 5/8/22, an inmate in the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to be in violation of a protection order.
On 5/9/22 at approximately 8:33 a.m., deputies were dispatched to 40 Colorado Street, Rollinsville, in reference to a dog issue and a report was taken.
On 5/9/22, at approximately 9:09 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy impounded a vehicle that was involved in an MVA in the 200 block of Eureka Street, Central City. A report was completed.
On 5/9/22 at approximately 0956 hours, a deputy was dispatched to Highway 119 and Main st, City of Rollinsville, County of Gilpin and the State of Colorado in reference to a suspicious event. Deputies responded and placed a female party on a mental health hold.
On 5/9/22 a deputy arrested a party in the Gilpin County Courtroom located at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, on outstanding warrants. A report was later completed.
On 5/10/22, at approximately 8:20 a.m., a deputy responded to a report of harassment at the Gilpin County Justice Center. The reporting party did not want to file charges against the alleged offender. A case report was later completed.
On 5/10/22, at approximately 8:39 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to contact a resident located at Black Hawk, in reference to an AOA (Assist Other Agency) for Colorado State Patrol in Colorado Springs. The residence was unoccupied and signs of possible Utility Meter Tampering and burglary were observed. This is an ongoing investigation.
On 5/10/22, at approximately 10:42 p.m., a deputy was stationary at approximately mile marker 5.5 on Highway 119, Black Hawk. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and the vehicle proceeded to take off.
On 5/11/22, at approximately 12:20 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrant.
On 5/11/22, at approximately 12:53 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a call for service at the Sheriff’s office, in reference to a possible Fraud/ Identity theft. A report was completed.
On 5/11/22, at approximately 9:03 p.m., Gilpin County deputies responded to the approximate 300 block of E 1st High Street, Central City, for a welfare check. A deputy arrived on scene and determined that all parties involved were okay and that no crimes had occurred. A report was made.
On 5/12/22, at approximately 1:51 a.m., a deputy was stationary on the Dostal Alley parking lot, Central City. After conducting a traffic stop the deputy found the male driver had a warrant for his arrest. Male driver was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 5/12/22, at approximately Trail Dust and Highway 46, a deputy conducted a traffic stop. The driver was cited and released.
On 5/12/22, at approximately 11:03 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Black Hawk. The deputy was advised that the person had controlled substances in his possession.
On 5/13/22, at approximately 6:19 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Black Hawk. The deputy was advised that a male party was overdosing in his garage.
On 5/13/22, at approximately 8:01 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a theft in the 100 block of Lake Street, unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 5/15/22, at approximately 6:32 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Central City in reference to a welfare check. A report was taken.
On 5/15/22 at approximately 10:07 a.m., deputies received a report of harassment which had occurred in the 500 block of Old Hughesville Road, unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 5/15/22, at approximately 5:39 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to unincorporated Gilpin County. The male was saying he has parasites on his body and he feels like he is going to die.
On 5/15/22, at approximately 10:40 p.m., a deputy was stationary at the intersection of Gregory Street and Springs Street, Central City. Upon a traffic investigation, the driver was arrested for a warrant.
On 5/18/22, at approximately 4:15 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Central City. The reporting party stated that her son has been harassing her all night.
On 5/16/22, at approximately 11:13 a.m., deputies responded to a report of criminal mischief in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 5/16/22, at approximately 11:54 a.m., a deputy heard a dispatch of a disturbance in progress with weapons involved located in Black Hawk. The deputy arrived on scene and later arrested a party. A report was completed.
On 5/16/22, at approximately 4:05 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to unincorporated Gilpin County, in reference to an alleged fraud. A report was completed.
On 5/17/22, at approximately 10:30 a.m., an investigator met with a citizen and re/issued a summons and complaint so that a court date could be revised for his convenience.
On 5/18/22, at approximately 7:51 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a call for service multiple times in Central City. A report was completed
On 5/18/22, at approximately 1:19 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Black Hawk on a report of found property. A report was completed.
On 5/18/22, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a deputy responded to the 300 block of Gregory Street in Central City, for a vehicle trespass. An investigation was opened and a case report was completed.
On 5/18/22, at approximately 6:43 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to Central City in reference to a disturbance. A report was completed.
On 5/17/22, at approximately 3:43 p.m., a traffic complaint was called to the Sheriff’s Office, the reporting party stated that at approximately mile marker 14.5 Highway 119, Black Hawk, a Jeep was following the reporting party. Upon investigation of this incident there were no charges filed.
On 5/19/22, at approximately 1:20 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at approximately mile marker 5 Highway 119, unincorporated Gilpin County. The reporting party stated her boyfriend didn’t want her to get out of the vehicle.
On 5/19/22, at approximately 2:38 a.m., Gilpin County deputies conducted a traffic stop on a male party that was earlier contacted and was known to be over the legal limit to safely drive. The male party was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and was processed into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 5/19/22, at approximately 7:20 a.m., a Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle located at the intersection of Highway 46 and Smith Hill Road, Black Hawk. This vehicle was later determined to have been stolen.
On 5/19/22, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a deputy contacted a known fugitive in the 300 block of Gregory Street in Central City. The fugitive was arrested for his active warrants without incident. A case report was later completed.
On 5/19/22, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a deputy responded to a cold burglary in the 400 block of Trail Dust Road in unincorporated Gilpin County. Evidence was collected and a case report was later completed.
On 5/19/22 at approximately 3 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to Central City, in reference to an alleged criminal mischief/ hate crime. A report was completed.
On 5/19/22, at approximately 3:10 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to Central City, in reference to a disturbance. A report was completed.
On 5/20/22, a deputy completed a certified VIN inspection.
On 5/22/22, at approximately 8:26 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Highway 119 and mile marker 19, Black Hawk, in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies responded and the vehicle was impounded.
On 5/22/22, at approximately 12:41 a.m., deputies responded, emergent, to a reported disturbance in progress located at mile marker 14.5 on Highway 119, unincorporated Gilpin County. After an investigation was conducted, one adult female was taken into custody.
On 5/22/22, at approximately 6:40 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Century Casino, Central City, on the report of a hit and run motor vehicle crash. The suspect was later located and issued a criminal summons.
On 5/22/22, at approximately 7:52 p.m., a deputy was flagged down by a pedestrian near the Grand Z Casino, Central City. The pedestrian wanted to report a motor vehicle trespass and theft. A report was taken.
On 5/23/22, at approximately 12:20 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 5800 block of Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County. The driver was found to be displaying fictitious license plates and driving while revoked. The deputy issued a summons and a case report was later completed.
On 5/23/22 at approximately 3:17 p.m., a deputy took a report by phone about a vehicle break-in that occurred either 5/20 or 5/21 in the area of the 3000 block of Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County. A case report was completed.
On 5/23/22, at approximately 6:04 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to contact via phone a female party who resides in Central City, in reference to a welfare check request. The welfare check was done, and a report was completed.
On 5/23/22 a vehicle was reported stolen.
On 5/25/22, at approximately 12:54 p.m., a deputy responded to unincorporated Gilpin County, for a report of harassment. A case report was later completed.
On 5/24/22 at approximately 1:04 p.m., a cold dog bite report was taken by a Gilpin Sheriff’s deputy that occurred near the 5000 block of Highway 72 on 5/23/22.
On 5/24/22 at approximately 3:04 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a call to assist another agency. The deputy was further advised to contact a deputy at Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. Report was completed.
On 5/26/22, at approximately 3:04 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to Black Hawk in reference to a found item. A report was completed.
On 5/27/22, at approximately 1:22 a.m., a deputy was traveling northbound at mile marker 6, Highway 119, Black Hawk. The deputy observed a red Kia, Forte, red in color without a license plate.
On 5/27/22, at approximately 5 p.m., a deputy arrested a male party on a warrant and a report was taken.
On 5/29/22, at approximately 10:31 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Eureka and G Streets in Central City in reference to a motor vehicle crash. A report was taken.
On 5/29/22, at approximately 6:35 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Easy Street Casino, Central City, on the report of a counterfeit ten dollar bill. No suspects were located, the counterfeit bill was seized and a report taken.
On 5/29/22, a male was trespassed from the Grand Z Casino.
On 5/30/22, a deputy responded to a residence on Fiddlers Green Place on the report of a cold criminal mischief. A report was completed.
On 5/30/22, at approximately 11:34 p.m., Gilpin County deputies responded to the 400 block of Lawrence Street, Central City, for the report of suspicious persons that had broken into two vehicles. Two juvenile parties were contacted and the reporting party did not wish to file charges. Both parties were released to a legal guardian.
On 5/31/22, at 9:27 a.m., a deputy contacted a stranded motorist in the 3000 block of Central City Parkway.
On 5/31/22, at approximately 6:46 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a call in reference to a motor vehicle theft that occurred in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was completed.
