On Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 a Deputy was asked to assist a Black Hawk Officer with performing a chemical test on a intoxicated party that was arrested by Black Hawk Officer for a DUI.
On Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 a female party arrived at the Gilpin County Jail to turn herself in on a Gilpin County Warrant. She was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on 4 active warrants.
On Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at approximately 1010 hours, a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office deputy was made aware of a potential suicidal person and violation of protection order.
On Thursday, March 10, 2016 at approximately 1:29 AM a deputy conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for the investigation of driving under the influence.
On Friday, March 11, at approximately 0010 hours, deputies contacted a vehicle at the Z Stop Gas Station. The driver was later arrested and booked into jail.
On Saturday, March 12th, 2016, a deputy took a report regarding harassment and menacing. The victim in the case didn`t want to pursue charges.
On Saturday, March 12th, a Gilpin County Sheriff Deputy received a report of Forgery at the Z-Stop Gas Station. It was reported an adult male passed a fake $100 bill. Investigation continues.
On Sunday, March 13th, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 119. The driver was suspected to be driving impaired by alcohol and failed to properly complete roadside maneuvers. The driver was transported to the Gilpin County Jail for a chemical test and booking.
On Sunday, March 13th, 2016, at approximately 1750 hours, a Gilpin Deputy responded to a home in the north area of the county on a report of Criminal Mischief and Illegal Dumping. Numerous piles of trash were found on the property, and there was damage inside the house. A past renter was identified as a possible suspect. Investigation continues.
On Monday, March 14th, a deputy contacted a parked vehicle on a welfare check, the license plates on the vehicle were found to be fictitious and were seized as evidence. A report was made no citation was issued.
On Monday, March 14th, at approximately 0945 hours a Deputy cleared an inmate through the NCIC/CCIC computer data system. Two active arrest warrants were found for the inmate. One was issued by the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. The other was issued by the Jefferson County Sheriff`s Office. The inmate was processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility on the warrant without incident. No further information.
On Monday, March 14th, at approximately 1115 hours, a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office deputy received a complaint regarding credit card fraud.
On Monday, March 14th, at approximately 1550 hours, a deputy received a report of a delivery driver causing damage to a gutter on a garage. A report has been completed for the incident.

On Wednesday, March 16th, an inmate located in the Gilpin County Jail was found to have a new active warrant issued for her arrest. The inmate was processed on the new case without incident.
On Thursday, March 17th, at approximately 1221 hours a deputy was dispatched to a report of Motor Vehicle Accident (property damage only) at the 3000 block of Hwy 46, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. Upon arrival the deputy observed several feet of the property`s fence that had been hit and destroyed by an unknown motor vehicle. A case report was later completed.
On Friday, March 18th, at approximately 1900 hours a deputy ordered the towing of an abandoned vehicle interfering with snow removal operations along the State Highway. A report was taken.
On Saturday, March 19th, at approximately 1230 hours a deputy was dispatched to an Animal Complaint in the 5000 block of Highway 46/Golden Gate Canyon Road, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. After speaking to the Reporting Party and completion of the deputy`s investigation, it was determined that Gilpin County Ordinance Violations of Dog at Large and Failure to Comply with Licensing Provisions had been committed. Later a Gilpin County summons was issued and a report was completed.
On Sunday, March 20th, a deputy took a report about possible phone harassment. It was determined a crime had not been committed; however an information report was completed.
On Sunday, March 20th, at approximately 2130 hours, a deputy had an abandoned vehicle towed from mile marker 1.5 on State Highway 119. A report was taken.
On Monday, March 21st, deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The driver was later arrested on an outstanding warrant and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On Monday, March 21st, at approximately 1757 hours a male party was arrested in the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd, Black Hawk, CO 80422 on four warrants for “FAILURE TO APPEAR” issued by the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. The male party was processed into the Gilpin County Detentions Facility without incident.
