On 6/1/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to a cold theft, which occurred at 321 Gregory Street. The deputy was further advised that it could be handled by phone. A report was completed.

On 6/1/21, the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office received a Crime Stoppers report regarding Animal Cruelty. A deputy responded to the residence and through their investigation this incident was deemed unfounded.

On 6/3/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Dostal Alley parking lot. The driver was issued a summons for a traffic violation. A report was later completed.

On 6/3/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a call regarding a cold domestic violence assault. The victim was interviewed and the offender was later arrested. A summons was issued and report completed

On 6/4/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to 103 Burt Street for a report of a cold burglary. A deputy met with the caretaker and obtained information on possible suspects and a report was made.

On 6/4/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to a report of a rollover crash on Mammoth Gulch Road. Dispatch advised there was a body inside the vehicle. The deputy arrived on scene and located the driver seat belted in the vehicle and was conscious and breathing, but had suffered some injuries. It was also determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.

On 6/4/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street on a report of a stolen cellphone. A report was later completed.

On 6/6/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to the Easy Street Casino on the report of a disgruntled employee. It was determined no crime had occurred. A report was taken.

On 6/6/21, Gilpin County deputies responded to the 100 block of Main Street for a report of a suicidal party that had cut his wrists. The suicidal party was placed on a mental health hold and taken to a hospital for treatment.

On 6/6/21, Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office received a call about a male party who crashed into a tree with his OHV (off highway vehicle) and sustained injuries. The crash occurred in the area of Sayre Road. Timberline Fire, Gilpin Ambulance, and Gilpin deputies responded to the incident. The male party declined treatment and decided to transport himself. A report was made.

On 6/6/21, Gilpin County deputies responded to the 300 Block of Spring Street on a report of a disturbance in progress. It was determined no crime had occurred.

On 6/7/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of harassment in the 300 Block of Spring Street. A summons was issued to the suspect and a case report was later completed.

On 6/7/21, Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office received a 911 call from a resident in the county. Deputies responded to the address and made contact with a male party who had been assaulted by a juvenile party under the possible influence of drugs. Deputies determined the juvenile needed to be transported to Lutheran Medical Center for evaluation. A report was made.

On 6/7/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to a report of a possible stolen vehicle in the Big T parking lot in Central City. The stolen vehicle was located and impounded per the request of the owner.

On 6/8/21, a Gilpin County deputy discovered a stolen trailer in the 100 block of Academy Street. The trailer was impounded, a suspect was identified and a case report was later completed.

On 6/8/21, Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office received a phone call from a county resident about a dog stuck in a trap. Deputies responded to the reporting party’s house and spoke with two male parties about the location of the dog. Deputies then responded to the residence where the dog was trapped and met with a female party. Deputies successfully released the dog in which it took off running with no signs of injury.

On 6/8/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of harassment at the Central City Post Office. A report was taken.

On 6/8/21, the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office received a phone call from a female party about a cold disturbance. A deputy called the female party who stated that she wanted to inform the Sheriff’s Office about past tensions between the party and her husband. She stated that she did not want anything done but wanted to make the Sheriff’s Office aware of the situation in case things escalated. A report was made.

On 6/8/21, Gilpin County deputies responded to the Colorado Sierra subdivision on a report of a disturbance in progress. One person was arrested and a case report was later completed.

On 6/11/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street for a report of a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill. The twenty-dollar bill was confirmed to be counterfeit and was seized. A case report was later completed.

On 6/13/21, a Gilpin County deputy made a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Lawrence Street. The driver was cited for driving while ability impaired and passing where prohibited. A case report was later completed.

On 6/13/21, a Gilpin County deputy stopped a motorcycle on South Beaver Creek Road for no license plate. It was found the plate had been lost or stolen, a report was made.

On 6/13/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report by phone concerning license plates that were stolen in the 300 block of Gregory Street. A case report was later completed.

On 6/14/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of Identity Theft from Black Hawk unincorporated Gilpin County area. There are no suspects at this time.

On 6/14/21, a Gilpin County deputy found a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of Gregory Street. Three suspects were contacted, their information taken, and were released on scene due to COVID-19 arrest restrictions. The vehicle was towed and a case report was later completed.

On 6/15/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to a theft located at the Grand Z Casino. A report was completed.

On 6/15/21, a Gilpin County deputy received, via email, a request from Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office Evidence Technician (ET) to complete a report of found items within the evidence storage area. A report was completed of found property.

On 6/17/21, an adult male arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s office to turn himself in on a warrant. A Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office deputy confirmed the warrant and took the adult male into custody.

On 6/17/21, Gilpin County deputies responded to milepost 2.4 on the Central City Parkway for a property damage accident, vehicle vs deer. The deer was dispatched. A report was taken.

On 6/17/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the Century Casino on the report of a stolen wallet. A suspect was apprehended and issued a criminal summons for theft.

On 6/17/21, Gilpin County deputies responded to a harassment and protection order violation on Rocky Ridge Road.

On 6/18/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to the 700 block of Golden Gate Drive on a suspicious incident. A report was taken.

On 6/18/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to the report of a suspicious death on Highway 72 near mile marker 24, unincorporated Gilpin County. An investigation was initiated.

On 6/19/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to the 100 block of Main Street in Central City for a report of theft of a wallet. When the deputy arrived the victim had left in order to avoid contact with law enforcement and was unable to be reached. A case report was later completed.

On 6/20/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to mile marker 10 on Highway 119 for a report of a motor vehicle accident in which a deer was struck. The deputy euthanized the deer, Colorado State Patrol investigated the accident and a case report was later completed.

6/22/21, Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to the K and M parking garage for a report of a hit and run. A female party was arrested for DUI and a report was made.

On 6/23/21, a Gilpin County deputy was advised by dispatch of a disturbance located at the Grand Z Casino. A party was arrested and a report was completed.

On 6/23/21, Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 200 Block of Feldspar Road. A female party was arrested on domestic violence charges and a report was made.

On 6/23/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to mile marker 5.5 on the Central City Parkway on the report of a non-injury motor vehicle crash. A report was taken.

On 6/24/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the Grand Z Casino on a report of a found counterfeit $20 bill. A report was completed.

On 6/24/21, a person currently in the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an active warrant.

On 6/24/21, an adult male arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office to turn himself in on a warrant. A Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office deputy confirmed the warrant and took the adult male into custody without incident.

On 6/25/21, a Gilpin County deputy noticed an ATV crash that occurred on Columbine Campground Road. A report was completed.

On 6/25/21, Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to the report of a deceased male party located at the 5300 block of Highway 119. A report was taken.

On 6/26/21, Gilpin County deputies responded to the Coyote Motel for a report of trespassing. The suspects were not found or able to be identified at that time. A case report was later completed.

On 6/26/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to assist Colorado State Patrol with a motor vehicle accident near mile post 1 of Highway 46. The driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence by Colorado State Patrol. A report was taken.

On 6/27/21, a Gilpin County deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino on a report of an adult female party using a false identification.

On 6/27/21, Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Mountain View Drive, on a report of an assault in progress. Deputies arrived on scene and determined no injuries had taken place and no charges wanted to be filed. A report was made.

On 6/27/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to E 4th High Street on a disturbance. A report was completed, and one party was arrested.

On 6/29/21, a Gilpin County deputy was conducting a welfare check on two male parties in the 300 block of Gregory Street. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the car and summonses were issued.

On 6/29/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a property damage accident in the City of Central.

On 6/30/21, a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to the Century Casino located at 102 Main Street on a report of a found syringe with an unknown substance in it. A report was completed.

On 6/30/21, a Gilpin County deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Gregory Street. The driver was arrested on a warrant and issued a summons for traffic offenses. A report was later completed.

On 6/30/21, a Gilpin County deputy took a report of criminal mischief that occurred at the Gilpin County Library. A report was later completed.
