Gilpin County is updating our Hazard Mitigation Plan in cooperation with the Cities of Black Hawk and Central City, as well as the Timberline Fire Protection District. This plan will lower our risk from natural and human-caused hazards, reduce losses from future disasters, make the jurisdictions more resilient, and make us eligible for FEMA grant funding.
The draft plan is currently available for public review and comment. How can we improve? What can we add? What questions do you have?
