Watercolor artist Tim Brenner will be exhibiting his paintings at the Gilpin County Library, in a show titled “Seasons in Paint.” The show opens October 22, and runs through December 10.
Brenner has spent over 60 years in creative communications. He is active in the Denver Art Students League and a signature member of the Colorado Watercolor Society. His paintings have been in many shows across the state.
Upon leaving the corporate world Tim dedicated himself to painting. He states he has been fortunate to have lived and worked with creative people his entire life. Tim paints in traditional transparent watercolor, in an impressionist style.
“As a youngster, I was originally tutored by my father, who was also an artist. A strong attraction to the flow of the paint and the sparkle of the paper is what draws me to watercolor. I like the spontaneity of the process. I look for the visual that connects me to my environment and my humanity, and hopefully connects the viewer to my work.”
