Gilpin County Community Center Closure & Refunds

CLOSURE:

With the Gilpin County Community Center facing an extended closure thru July 10th, the public will have an opportunity to collect any personal items they may have at the facility.  Staff will be taking the utmost precautions to ensure everyone’s safety during this process by adhering to the following procedures:

  • 1 person from the public at a time will be allowed access into the building to collect their belongings.
  • A face mask covering the nose and mouth must be worn to enter the facility.
  • Remainder of public will wait in their cars in the parking lot and will be summoned when it is their turn to enter the facility.
  • If anyone is symptomatic, please ask someone else to collect your possessions.  Please send an email to gcrec@gilpincounty.org informing staff of who you have authorized to collect your belongings.

The Community Center will be open to collect personal belongings on the following dates and times:

      Monday, April 27th  4pm-6pm

      Tuesday, April 28th  1pm-3pm

      Friday, May 1st  9am-11am

REFUNDS

Due to the Gilpin County Community Center facing a prolonged closure, the county will be issuing pro-rated refunds for memberships, classes, programs and events.  Memberships and fitness passes will be pro-rated based on the type that was purchased and how much time was left on the pass.

For those that paid with a credit card, we will be issuing refunds back to the credit card that was used to complete the transaction. Please let us know by April 28, 2020 if you prefer your refund be sent by check. 

For those that paid with a check or cash, the county will issue a check and send to the address on the account that completed the transaction.  Please let us know by April 28, 2020 of a change in your mailing address.
