Gilpin boys head into districts

GHS boys teamBarbara Lawlor, Gilpin County.  In the past week, the Gilpin High School boys hammered Denver Academy and then lost their match with the Longmont Christian Warriors.

Last Wednesday, Feb. 3, the Eagles traveled to Denver Academy where they took home a 65-23 victory. They now have a 9-4 record.

Individual Statistics:

Nick Peterson: 8 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 2 steals

Eryk Lorenz: 4 rebounds, 2 steals

Matthew Immordino: 20 points, 1 three-pointer, 5 rebounds, 2 steals

Will Lorenz: 8 points, 4 free throws, 2 rebounds, 2 steals

Jonathan Ramsey: 2 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists, 4 steals

Austin Boulter: 6 rebounds, 1 assist

Chad Holmes: 2 rebounds

Braedyn Perez: 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist

Chase Boulter: 2 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals

Randall Buck:1 rebound

On Thursday, Feb. 4, the Eagles had another away game, playing against the Longmont Christian Warriors, who overcame the Gilpin boys, 66-41.

Matthew Immordino: 19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals

Jonathan Ramsey: 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists

Will Lorenz: 2 rebounds

Austin Boulter: 2 points, 2 rebounds

Chase Boulter: 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks

Chris Burtschi: 3 rebounds

The next home game is on Saturday, Feb. 13, against North Park, beginning at 4 p.m.  It is also the Senior/Parent Appreciation Night. The last home game of the season is on Tuesday, Feb. 16, against Denver Waldorf at 6 p.m.
