Stephanie Andelman, Nederland. What makes Frozen Dead Guy Days so amusing? More than can be shared. But everyone would agree that the Coffin Races take the prize for memorable, colorful, competitive and hilarious. So you should plan a team and register to participate in this killer event!

To take on the coffin racing course, all you need is the following:

  1. a team captain
  2. a team name
  3. seven team members (six pallbearers/one corpse)
  4. a coffin
  5. coordinated costumes
  6. $75 to register
  7. yearning for frozen fun

Prizes and accolades are given to teams which win for overall time, runner-up time, best theme and most notable screw up while racing. The fastest team is invited to participate in Manitou Springs’ Emma Crawford Coffin Races, so they can claim the Coffin Cup for FDGD.

Course designers are carefully planning this year’s layout and obstacles. Organizers promise another year of silly coffin-to-coffin battles beyond Guercio Field. You are invited to take charge. Invite your friends, construct that coffin and rise from the dead to glorious victory!
