Gavan Goodrich appointed principal at NMSHS

Posted

Dear Nederland Community,

I am pleased to announce that Gavan Goodrich has been appointed as the next principal of Nederland Middle Senior High School.

Mr. Goodrich has more than 19 years of experience as a secondary principal. For the past eight years he has been a high school principal in the Jeffco School District, most recently serving as the leader of two of the district’s alternative schools: McLain Community High School and Long View High School and previously at Ralston Valley High School. He started his career in education in Texas, after getting his Masters in Education Administration at the University of North Texas. Before leaving the Lone Star State, he served in a number of roles in middle and high schools, culminating with principalships at Lovejoy High School (4 years) and Sloan Creek Middle School (5 years).

Gavan and his wife Cindy live in Coal Creek Canyon and are very excited to join the Nederland Middle Senior High School community.

Our goal in making this selection was to provide an exceptional school leader for Nederland Middle Senior High School who possesses the qualities and attributes that the staff and community have shared are essential in the next leader.

I believe Mr. Goodrich is an excellent choice to lead this school for many years to come.

Join me in congratulating Mr. Goodrich. He will officially begin in July, but I am certain you will see him around the halls before then.

Finally, I would like to thank Mr. Mark Sibley for serving as the interim principal this year.

Sincerely,

Robbyn Fernandez

Assistant Superintendent of Schools

Boulder Valley School DistrictÂ
