Frank Sanders is a fourth-generation Colorado native from Colorado Springs and Arvada; a great-grandfather lived in Boulder in 1885.
Frank is a graduate of the University of Colorado in physics and electronics engineering. At the Department of Commerce laboratory in Boulder, where he has worked since 1979, he is an expert in radars, radio spectrum engineering and interference problems. He has recently overseen safety testing of 5G radios coexisting with airborne radar altimeters.
He and his wife make their home in the Tungsten town site below Barker Dam. His activities include watching wildlife, watching the skies, helping to care for the family’s dogs and performing continual fire mitigation on the wildland interface.
