CalWood Fire

Acres burnt: 9978 burned
Total Contained: 24% contained
Structures: At CalWood there are no reported damages structures. Also reported that the main priority at this point is to clear refrigerators in order to not attract bears. The food left in the houses will start to rot, which will bring bear activity into the areas without power. Also, the hard freeze forecast for Sunday morning, according to Weather.com, will be a concern for residents, so hopefully people will be let in to weatherize their homes. Still not officially decided.

Lefthand Canyon Fire
Acres burnt: 460 acres burnt
Total Contained: 43% contained
Structures: The majority of the containment is on the Southern side of the fire area.

Full night shift for both fires in case of any fire activity overnight. High winds forecast until early Thursday morning. There are no escorted access into evacuated areas until possibly Thursday.

Ward reports power restored, and some residents have returned. Not corroborated, just word from people at hotel.      Red Cross still processing evacuees at Nederland Community Center, and there is food available as well. Boulder Creek is full, 23 / 23 rooms, and some people are being sent to other local hotels.
