On 2/1/18 at approximately 8:03 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a theft at the Grand Z Casino and Hotel. The reporting party was contacted, and a case report was later completed.

On 2/1/18 at approximately 11:07 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a theft that possibly occurred in front of Annie Oakley`s Emporium, at 135 Nevada Street. The reporting party was contacted, and a case report was made.

On 2/1/18 at approximately 1:05 p.m., a person arrived to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office who had an active, valid warrant. The person was arrested and brought to the Gilpin County Detention Facility and processed on the warrant.

On 2/2/18 a deputy stopped to check on a motorist possibly needing assistance near mile post 5 on Highway 119. Investigation revealed the adult female driver had stopped to light a cigarette but had been drinking alcohol at a local casino. Further investigation revealed the driver was under the influence of alcohol. She was subsequently arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 2/3/18 at approximately 12:49 a.m., deputies responded to mile marker 6.8 of the Central City Parkway on the report of a motor vehicle accident. The driver of the vehicle was later issued a penalty assessment.

On 2/3/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Gregory Street in Central City. The driver was arrested for a warrant, possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license.

On 2/3/18 a deputy heard a call for service in the area of Casey Street. The call was for a vehicle that would intermittently honk. The reporting party was unsure if someone was in distress or not. The Deputy located the vehicle and found that one of the parties was in violation of a protection order.

That party was arrested.

On 2/3/18 at 4:58 p.m., a REDDI report was called into Gilpin County Dispatch. The vehicle was contacted, and the driver was later arrested for the investigation of driving under the influence.

On 2/3/18, a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was released on a summons and transported to the hospital for a medical issue.

On 2/4/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was later determined to have a suspended license and was issued a summons.

On 2/4/18 a deputy contacted a suspicious vehicle in the Coyote Motel Parking Lot. A female party was arrested out of the vehicle for several felony and misdemeanor warrants.

On 2/4/1 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Gregory Street in Central City. The male party provided a false name and was later determined to have a warrant for his arrest.

On 2/4/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle at mile marker 1 on Highway 119 and the driver did not have a valid driver`s license. The driver was issued a summons.

On 2/4/18 at 2:40 p.m., a deputy was completing a new booking and an inmate in the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to an active warrant.

On 2/4/18 at approximately 4:58 p.m., while patrolling in the 100 block of Long Trail Road in unincorporated Gilpin County, Black Hawk, Colorado 80422, a deputy found a chainsaw in the middle of the road. The chainsaw was taken to the Sheriff`s Office and entered into the evidence room as found property. A case report was completed.

On 2/4/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville on a vehicle traveling without headlamps on. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

On 2/5/18 a deputy assisted Colorado State Patrol with a two-vehicle crash on south Highway 119.

On 2/7/18 at approximately 6:45 p.m., an individual reported to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office who was found to have an active warrant. The individual was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant.

On 2/7/18 at approximately 7:16 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a property damage only motor vehicle accident, which occurred in the parking lot for the Dostal Alley Saloon. A report was completed.

On 2/4/18 a deputy contacted a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Lynwood Lane. A female party was arrested out of the vehicle for a felony warrant.

On 2/8/18 a Gilpin County deputy conducting a VIN verification at the Gilpin County Sheriff Department issued a proof of service to a male individual.

On 2/8/18 at approximately 2:05 p.m., a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office deputy was dispatched on a fraud incident. The deputy spoke to the reporting person and completed an incident report.

On 2/8/18 at approximately 9:36 p.m., a deputy conducted a welfare check on an occupied vehicle located within the Grand Z parking garage. One of the male parties located inside the vehicle was later found to have an active arrest warrant and was taken into custody.

On 2/11/18 at approximately 12:29 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a driver who was believed to possibly be under the influence of alcohol based upon a prior REDDI report. The driver was later found not to be under the influence of alcohol but was arrested for two outstanding arrest warrants.

On 2/11/18 at approximately 8:20 a.m., a deputy responded to a residence in the 100 block of Sego Lily Way on the report of suspicious activity. The homeowner was interviewed, the scene was inspected and a report was taken.

On 2/11/18 at 10:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of Rocky Ridge Road, on a cold burglary call. Investigation disclosed that entry was not made. A report was completed.

On 2/11/18 at 12:55 p.m., a deputy observed a dog running in traffic in the 100 block of Tolland Road. An attempt was made to contact the owner but was unsuccessful. The dog was taken to the Gilpin County Jail and held until the owner contacted the Sheriff`s Office.

0n 2/11/18 at approximately 4:10 p.m., a female party was taken into custody on a warrant out of Westminster PD for failure to appear with pretrial.

On 2/11/18 at approximately 8:06 p.m., a deputy issued a traffic ticket to a driver for Failure to Display Lamps When Required, and Drove Motor Vehicle when License Under Restraint (Denied). A case report was completed.

On 2/11/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a revoked license.

On 2/12/18 a deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino on the report of a theft. A suspect was identified and later issued a summons. The stolen property was recovered and returned.

On 2/12/18 at approximately 10:15 a.m., a party came to the front lobby to turn herself in on an active warrant.

On 2/12/18 at 1:31 p.m., deputies responded to a casino, located in the 100 block of Lawrence Street, Central City, CO 80427, on a harassment call. The victim reported that a female threatened to shoot him with a gun, but no weapon was seen. The victim declined to prosecute. The area was checked.

On 2/12/18 at approximately 5:45 p.m., a deputy responded to the lobby of the Gilpin County Jail. A person was contacted and found to have a misdemeanor warrant. The party was taken into custody and escorted to the jail for processing without incident.

On 2/12/18 at approximately 8:00 p.m., a warrant was located on and individual in the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. The individual was booked on this warrant without incident.

On 2/13/18 a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 100 Block of Gregory Street in Central City. The vehicle eluded the deputy and attempted to ram another deputy’s patrol vehicle. Black Hawk Police Department was able to stop stick the vehicle, but the vehicle continued to elude deputies. The pursuit continued down Highway 119 and onto Highway 6, where Colorado StatePatrol was able to use a tactical vehicle interception and effectively end the pursuit. The driver was taken into custody for numerous felony charges.

On 2/14/18 at approximately 5:41 p.m., an individual reported to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office to turn himself in on a warrant. A clearance through dispatch showed an active warrant that the individual was taken into custody on and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 2/14/18 at approximately 1:45 p.m., an investigator took a report of a harassment occurring via text message to a Gilpin County resident. A report was taken, and an investigation begun.

On 2/14/18 at approximately 7:16 p.m., a deputy issued a traffic ticket to a driver for Failure to Display Lamps When Required, and Drove Motor Vehicle when License Under Restraint. A case report was completed.

On 2/15/18 at approximately 12:22 p.m., a deputy was contacted by a person who wanted to turn in some found property. The property was reported to be found on Pine Street, near the intersection with Eureka Street. A case report was later completed and the property was logged into evidence for safe keeping.

On 2/15/18 at 12:36 p.m., a deputy responded to Johnny Z`s casino for a verbal disturbance. A female party was issued a summons to appear in court for disorderly conduct.

On 2/15/18 at approximately 6:22 p.m., a deputy noticed a vehicle make a wide turn from Dory Lakes Drive onto northbound Highway 119. The wide turn resulted in the vehicle moving into the oncoming traffic lane on Highway 119. Investigation revealed the adult female was intoxicated and was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail for DUI, Open Alcohol Container, and Weaving.

On 2/16/18 at approximately 5:42 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a criminal mischief call at the Century Casino and Hotel. The offender was located and the manager on duty declined to pursue criminal charges; however, he did permanently refuse service for the offender. A case report was later completed.

On 2/16/18 a deputy assisted Black Hawk Police Department in the 100 block of Clear Creek St with a burglary in progress. One suspect was taken into custody.

On 2/16/18 at approximately 6:26 p.m., a deputy took a report of a suspicious incident which had occurred. A report was generated to document the incident.

On 2/16/18 a deputy contacted a party in the 5300 block of Highway 72, Gilpin County, Black Hawk, CO 80422, who had an active warrant. The party was arrested for the warrant and a report was later completed.

On 2/16/18 a deputy took a report of a 1st degree criminal trespass in the 100 Block of Casey Street, Central City. The case is currently under investigation.

On 2/17/18 at 11:19 a.m., a deputy was contacted reference a Defacing Property complaint in the 100 block of Main Street, Central City CO 80427. A report was taken. The suspect was later contacted and issued a summons.

On 2/17/18 a deputy responded to the Stage Stop on the report of a theft. A suspect was identified and arrested for Burglary.

On 2/17/18 a deputy contacted a party in the 300 block of Gregory Street, Gilpin County, Central City, CO 80427, who had an active warrant. The party was arrested for the warrant and a report was later completed.

On 2/18/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Gregory Street and the driver was arrested for numerous warrants.

On 2/18/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle in the Grand Z Parking Garage for having expired number plates. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid driver`s license and had two active warrants. The driver was taken into custody.

On 2/18/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

On 2/19/18 at approximately 10:12 a.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle on Virginia Canyon for driving on a flat tire. The driver did not have a valid driver`s license and was issued a summons.

On 2/19/18 at 1:33 p.m., deputies responded to a harassment complaint in the 100 block of Lawrence Street, Central City CO 80427. Deputies located the suspect and issued him a summons.

On 02/20/18 at approximately 1144 hours, a deputy responded to an abandoned hazard on Central City Parkway at mile marker .70. The vehicle was determined to be a hazard and was towed.

On 2/20/18 suspected methamphetamine was found at the Famous Bonanza Casino. A suspect could not be identified.

On 2/21/18 at approximately 9:30 a.m., a female party showed up for court. A Deputy located a warrant and the female party was booked into Gilpin County Jail.

On 2/21/18 at approximately 10:20 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person currently in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was processed on the warrant.

On 2/19/18 at 4:45 p.m., a deputy took a report of a theft which occurred in the 5300 block of Highway 72, unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80471. An investigation was initiated.

On 2/23/18 at 8:25 p.m., a deputy responded to the 600 block of Karlann Dr., unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80422, on an Identity Theft call. A report was taken.

On 2/23/18 at 4:13 p.m., a party reported an identity theft to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office, located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd, unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80422. A report was taken.

On 2/24/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a R.E.D.D.I. report on south Highway 119. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

On 2/25/18 at 6:50 a.m. an off-duty deputy located a vehicle which had been involved in a single-car motor vehicle accident on Highway 119 at mile post 12.5, unincorporated Gilpin County, CO 80422. Another deputy arrived to assist. The driver was medically cleared by paramedics and arrested by a Trooper from the Colorado State Patrol for suspicion of DUI.

On 2/25/18 at approximately 5:24 p.m., a deputy responded to Central City to contact a female party who had multiple arrest warrants. The female party was located, resisted arrest and was later found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. The female was arrested.

On 2/26/18 a deputy contacted a suspicious vehicle in the RMO Dispensary Parking Lot. A female party was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm, with a controlled substance.

On 02/26/18 at 4:56 p.m., a deputy responded to a residence in the 200 block of Havilah Street, Central City CO 80427, on a cold burglary. A report was taken.

On 2/27/18 at approximately 4:19 a.m., a deputy was notified of a theft that occurred at the Grand Z Casino Hotel. A report was taken and there is no suspect information at this time.

On 2/27/18 at approximately 5:01 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Johnny Z`s Casino located at 132 Lawrence Street Central City, Gilpin County, Colorado 80427 on a report of a found Counterfeit Five Dollar Bill. A case report was completed.

On 2/28/18 at approximately 4:20 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a welfare check at a casino in Central City. The deputy contacted the parties and determined they were OK. One of the parties presented a Colorado Driver`s License and it was later learned the party`s driver`s license was revoked. The deputy completed and served the party with a Proof of Service. The party`s driver`s license was confiscated to be returned to the DMV.
