Fall colors are beginning to emerge, there is a delightful crispness in the air, and one of Nederland’s favorite art events is right around the corner!
Please join us for the opening reception of the Fall Art at the Center on Thursday, October 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Nederland Community Center.
This year’s show features 10 returning artists, along with one local artist showing her work for the first time at Art at the Center.
New to Art at the Center, Kate Fitzpatrick will be showing six of her vibrant and colorful animal paintings. Kate says she is “endlessly fascinated by the animals, plants, and insects with whom we share this earth,” and hopes that her work will inspire humans to show greater respect, empathy, and love towards all living creatures.
After viewing the art and voting for your favorite pieces, please join fellow community members in the cafeteria for music and refreshments. Jim McVey will provide musical entertainment on the keyboard.
A $10 donation is being requested to help defray the cost of the reception. Your continued support is what keeps this event going.
Join us on Thursday, October 6 for another fun evening at Fall Art at the Center!
