Erma Pitzer (Bianchini), age 94, a strong and loving mom, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Lafayette, Colorado.
Born on December 16, 1931, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, Erma lived a long and vibrant life filled with love for her family and a deep appreciation for the joys of nature and togetherness.
Throughout her life, Erma embraced her role as a devoted mother and wife and cherished every moment spent with her children. She was the heart of her home—an exceptional mom who found joy in hosting gatherings that brought people together. Her warmth and hospitality made everyone feel welcome, and her home was often filled with laughter, music, and the comforting aroma of shared meals.
Erma had a passion for dancing that never faded with time. Whether at family celebrations or simply enjoying music at home, she found happiness in movement and rhythm. Her love for the outdoors was equally strong: She delighted in camping trips, golfing and treasured time spent in the mountains. Watching her children play sports also brought her immense pride and joy—she was their biggest fan and most enthusiastic supporter.
After Erma got her children off to school, she worked part-time at Sears and Roebucks for over 10 years. Erma and Hugh also loved being snowbirds and would travel in their motorhome RV to many warm states during the winter season. They loved to spend their retirement golfing and enjoying time with their RV friends.
