NEDERLAND -- Eric Richard Stone has been writing songs for five decades and performing for four. It wasn’t until 2014, however, when he moved to a home near Nederland and started pursuing music full-time.
Stone found himself inspired by the mountain community, its nature, and its people. He feels that the environment has motivated his best work as a songwriter.
Now, he's released a new album called Living The Dream, unbound by style, from folk to bluegrass to Americana to rock to pop. Nine songs are original compositions by Stone, with a tenth alternate version of the song “It Might As Well Be Rain,” and three are cover interpretations.
Stone will embark on his first European tour in June for the album, but he'll gear up for that tour by playing in the area that has inspired him the most.
See Eric Richard Stone kick off a tour for his new album Living the Dream on Friday, April 25, 2025, starting at 6 p.m. at the Very Nice Brewing Company location in Nederland, 20 E. Lakeview Drive in the Caribou Village Shopping Center.
On Sunday, May 11, starting at 10:30 a.m., he’ll continue his local tour at the first 2025 Nederland Farmers Market, located at 80 E. Second Street and 85 E. First Street.
