Eldora, the backyard winter playground for Colorado’s Northern Front Range, announced the return of its Play Forever Challenge, a donation-match challenge to support the vital community-building work of two Nederland-area non-profit organizations, Wild Bear Nature Center and TEENS, Inc.

Between December 15, 2021, and January 15, 2022, Eldora will match every dollar donated to the Eldora Play Forever philanthropic fund up to $10,000. All funds raised during this period, including all public donations and Eldora’s $10,000 matching donation, will be donated from the Eldora Play Forever Fund to Wild Bear Nature Center and TEENS, Inc.

Now in its second year, Eldora’s Play Forever Challenge saw great success during the winter of 2020/21, raising $22,792 - including Eldora’s $10,000 matching donation - for the Nederland Food Pantry and Emergency Family Assistance Association. The sum was split between the non-profits, with each receiving $11,396. The 2021/22 Play Forever Challenge aims to use the same grassroots fundraising efforts to support TEENS, Inc. and Wild Bear Nature Center.

“Wild Bear Nature Center and TEENS, Inc. both perform amazing work to support kids and families in our local mountain community,” says Brent Tregaskis, Eldora’s president and general manager. “We at Eldora are so proud to be a part of such a vibrant local community here in the Nederland area, and we are inviting everyone to join Eldora in supporting the efforts of these terrific organizations. Donate before January 15 and Eldora will double the impact of every dollar you give.”

How to Donate: All donations are tax-deductible and those received between December 15, 2021, and January 15, 2022 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000. Donations should be made directly to the Eldora Play Forever Fund, a philanthropic fund administered for Eldora by Community Foundation Boulder County. All funds raised during the Play It Forward Challenge will be given directly to TEENS, Inc. and Wild Bear Nature Center to support the vital community-building programs and opportunities these organizations provide.
