Sara Sandstrom-Kobi, Nederland. The Eldora Play It Forward Fund has recently donated $140,000 to Nederland community non-profit organizations. This fund was established with a gift of $250,000 from the Cummings Foundation, John and David Cummings, and resort team members. John Cummings founded POWDR, the company that owns Eldora.

The following organizations have been allocated funds from Play It Forward: Community Foundation Boulder County’s Covid-19 Relief Fund, Nederland Food Pantry, LERT Programs (EMSC and SMBA), Nederland Middle Senior High School PTA, Canyon Cares, Emergency Family Assistance Program, Wild Bear Nature Center, TEENS, Inc.

Brent Tregaskis, president and general manager of Eldora says, “We at Eldora are well aware of the negative impacts the Corona 19 virus has had on the mountain community. We wanted to do what we could to make-up for some of the loss of revenue to some of the local non-profits, not to mention the additional real needs of our local mountain residents.”

Sam Bass, the Director of Marketing at Eldora, adds, “The Eldora Play It Forward Fund is intended to be an enduring philanthropic initiative. Community members who desire to help their local communities in this time of need are encouraged to donate to the Eldora Play It Forward Fund with the knowledge that their contributions will directly impact local nonprofits. These non-profit organizations are needed in the Nederland area. Eldora is proud to be a part of improving the lives of the people who live and work in our mountain community.
