Barbara Hardt, Nederland. On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, thanks to the INCREDIBLE generosity of the Eldora community, Eldora was able to donate a total of $22,792 to two local food banks. The amounts include $12,792 in donations from community members and a $10,000 grant from Eldora’s philanthropic fund, the Play It Forward Fund. The money was raised during Eldora’s Play It Forward Challenge between December 2020 and March 2021.
The total amount was split between the Nederland Food Pantry and Boulder’s Emergency Family Assistance Association.
Eldora President & General Manager, Brent Tregaskis, presented two separate checks for $11,396 apiece.
Eldora had originally hoped to raise $20,000 by offering a $10,000 matching grant to encourage an additional $10,000 in community donations. Over the last few months the Eldora community donated even more!
The money is making a real material difference in the lives of locals who really need it, and Eldora is so proud to support the tireless work of Nederland Food Pantry and Boulder’s Emergency Family Assistance Association.
