The Gilpin High School girls’ basketball team returned to the court after winter break and grabbed a 40-35 win from the Longmont Christian Warriors in a home game on Friday night. The win gave them a 4-2 win record as they began the 2018 season.
Cicely Lepro was high scorer with 13 points. Alicia Johnson, Jessica Wilhelm and Nicole Adams each contributed to the win with eight points each. Jessica Wilhelm snagged nine rebounds.
The Eagles led 20-12 at halftime and only gave up three points in the second half.
