In the past week, the Gilpin High School boys’ basketball team lost two home games. They now have a 4-8 record.

On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, the Eagles played the Union Colony Prep Timberwolves in a 37-51 loss. They came out strong, behind by only one point at halftime, but faltered in the third quarter, falling down by 12 points. They battled like crazy to catch up in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t climb that high.

Austin Boulter had an outstanding game, a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Tanner Davis hit two three-pointers.

On Friday, January 26, 2018, the Gilpin boys hosted a home game against the Highland Huskies who are 10-3, in the top 10. The Eagles lost 39-69. Tanner Davis and Will Lorenz led in scoring with 11 points and Austin Boulter pulled down 10 rebounds.
