My wife Donna and I are retired university professors. We have maintained a home in Gilpin County since 1998 and live in the Mountain Meadows area. We share our lives with our two Aussie/Border collies Amos and Poppy.

I am a retired Timberline firefighter (20 years of service) and former Timberline Board of Director - eight years. As a professional singer/actor, I recently performed with the Central City Opera production of Carousel and the Breckenridge Theatre’s Christmas production of It’s A Wonderful Life. Donna and I also participated in the Peak To Peak Productions of Shrek, Wizard of Oz, and Alice In Wonderland.

I have always enjoyed this newspaper and answered an ad to be a delivery route driver. I started delivering The Mountain-Ear in 2016. This was an enjoyable position, meeting and starting friendships with so many people on the route. There were a couple of snow days that I don’t miss with the snowy and icy road conditions. I have also provided articles on arts and businesses.

My volunteer activities have been eliminated due to the fact that I have become a 24/7 care provider for Donna due to a medical condition.

I will continue to provide articles and always look forward to receiving my weekly paper.
