Omayra Acevedo, Peak to Peak. At the foot of the majestic Rocky Mountains, there is a parking lot in the city of Golden, located on 13th and Ford Street. There, you can leave your stress and car, hop on a bus and head to the MillerCoors Brewery. There is so much I could tell you about MillerCoors, but I promise to spark your interest by only sharing a small amount of information and allowing your curiosity to inspire you to travel down to Golden and discover more for yourself.

I will tell you that the history of the brewery dates back as far as 1873 and has seven locations throughout the United States. My favorite fact about MillerCoors is that they have not sent garbage to the landfill since 2013. Outstanding, if you ask me! You can learn all about how they have managed to do this (and more) on the tour.
I will share a couple more fun facts about the brewery. One of which is that 18 different types of beers are brewed on-site. This doesn’t include the non-alcoholic beverages that are also available. The Golden brewery is also the largest brewery site in the country. Have you been? If not, I’m going to recommend it. Even if you only go just once in your lifetime. It’s pretty impressive.
It’s not just the brewery itself that’s remarkable. It is the sum of all things surrounding MillerCoors. It’s the company, the location, the variety, the positive impact on the earth and the people you meet while you’re there. As most of us know and agree, Colorado is already a very special place, but when you add culture, history and the assortment of things it has to offer, well, only one thing is assured: there’s no reason you should ever find yourself bored.
Keep in mind that the brewery offers different tours for you to choose from. You can opt for a short tour, a self-guided tour, or my personal favorite, the full tour that includes a guide, three 8oz samples and a commemorative glass. If you are entertaining the idea of enjoying some of their samples, please don’t forget to bring your ID and you might as well remember the wallet itself. There’s a gift shop offering all things Coors and some unique Colorado-themed merchandise. I truly hope you enjoy your tour with Coors, and cheers to you! MillerCoors is located at 502 14th Street, Golden, CO 80401 and can be reached at 303-277-2337.
