Democrats lead on clean roads: The Gilpin Democrats held a highway cleanup day on Sunday, October 30, 2022. The Dems host these days three times per year. The group bagged up seven large bags of trash, one bag of recycling, one plastic child’s swimming pool and one large sofa cushion from the roadside. There are currently 1038 active, registered Democrats in Gilpin County. The Gilpin County Democrat meetings are the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Gilpin County Library.
