On 12/12/17 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy. The vehicle was towed and the driver was issued a summons.

 

On 12/12/17 a warrant was located for a male inmate of the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. The inmate was booked on this warrant without incident.

 

On 12/12/17 a deputy responded to a report of an ATV crash. The single rider was transported to the hospital with head injuries and a report was completed.

 

On 12/12/17 a deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of Feldspar Road on a report of a suspicious package. The package was determined to be part of a mystery package service and not a threat. A report was later completed.

 

On 12/13/17 a deputy provided cover for the Black Hawk Police Department on a disturbance at the Ameristar. The Deputy arrested a party on behalf of the Black Hawk Police Department. A report was later completed.

 

On 12/13/17 at approximately 11:30 a.m., a deputy in the Sheriff`s Office parking lot was approached by a party requesting a courtesy ride to a casino. The deputy cleared the party and found an active warrant. The party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 12/13/17 at approximately 2:00 p.m., a deputy was conducting a business check when an employee informed the deputy someone had left their wallet at the business. The deputy took possession of the wallet and booked it into evidence as found property to be returned to the owner.

 

0n 12/15/17 at approximately 4:20 p.m., at the Gilpin County Jail, located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd., Black Hawk, Colorado 80422, a male subject was arrested on 5 active warrants and booked without incident.

 

On 12/15/17 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant. The driver was taken into custody.

 

On 12/16/17 a deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino on the report of found drugs.

 

On 12/16/17 a deputy responded to a non-injury single vehicle crash on the Central City Pkwy at approximately mile marker 7.5.

 

0n 12/16/17 at approximately 12:00 a.m., at Gilpin County Jail, a female subject was arrested on an active warrant and booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.

 

On 12/18/17 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Central City. The driver and two passengers were arrested out of the vehicle for numerous charges.

 

On 12/18/17 a deputy took a report of a missing person. The party was later located in a hospital in the Denver metro area.

 

On 12/19/17 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Lawrence Street. The driver was issued a summons and a passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

 

On 12/19/17 at approximately 10:40 a.m., a deputy took a report of a trespass and possible theft. A report has been completed and the case is still under investigation.

 

On 12/19/17 at approximately 5:15 p.m., a deputy responded to the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. The person was contacted and found to have a misdemeanor warrant for their arrest. The party was taken into custody and escorted to the jail for processing without incident.

 

On 12/19/17 at approximately 7:42 p.m., deputies, fire and medical personnel were dispatched to a residence in Central City on a possible drug overdose. The subject consented to a voluntary Drug Influence Evaluation and was transported to the Sheriff`s Office. The party was returned to the residence a short time later.

 

On 12/20/17 a deputy stopped a vehicle for not having a license plate. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid driver`s license and had an active warrant for his arrest.

 

On 12/20/17 at approximately 5:40 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an injured deer located on the Central City Parkway. It was determined the deer would need to be euthanized and the Deputy on scene safely dispatched the deer.

 

On 12/21/17 at approximately 6:08 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash, which occurred at approximately the intersection of E. 1st High Street and Church Street, in the incorporated city of Central City. The crash was investigated, and a report was later completed.

 

On 12/21/17 at approximately 9:14 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Miner Street and Lawrence Street, located in the incorporated city of Central City. The driver was issued a ticket and a case report was later completed.

 

On 12/22/17 a deputy responded to Johnny Z`s Casino, on the report of a theft. A suspect was identified and issued a summons.

 

On 12/23/17 a deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino, on the report of an intoxicated person. One party was later arrested and booked into jail.

 

On a 12/23/17 a deputy responded to a welfare check of a party in Gilpin County. It was determined that the party was involved in an assault.

 

On 12/23/17 a deputy contacted a vehicle on a welfare check. A passenger of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant. The party was taken into custody on the warrant.

 

On 12/24/17 at 4:41 p.m., a deputy responded to a residence located in the 100 block of Lodge Pole Way to assist the fire department and paramedics with a medical call. The patient was pronounced deceased and an investigation was conducted. The death was not suspicious.

 

On 12/26/17 at approximately 7:30 a.m., a deputy responded to a report of an abandoned motor vehicle. The abandoned vehicle was blocking a lane of traffic. The vehicle was impounded as a traffic hazard.

 

On 12/26/17 at approximately 11:05 p.m., a male party arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office lobby to turn himself in on a Gilpin County Warrant.

 

On 12/27/17 at approximately 11:00 a.m., a deputy responded to a call of a damaged mailbox and possible mail theft. A report was completed for the incident.

 

On 12/27/17 at approximately 5:24 p.m., an individual reported to Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office, to turn himself in on two active warrants that he knew he had. Both warrants were confirmed, and the subject was taken into custody and booked into Gilpin County Jail without incident.

 

On 12/29/17 at approximately 2:48 p.m., a Gilpin County Deputy responded to the Gold Mountain Village Apartments. A report was taken on a damaged vehicle caused by the high winds for insurance purposes.

 

On 12/29/17 an individual that was being booked into the Gilpin County Jail was found to have two additional active warrants that needed to be confirmed and located. Both warrants were confirmed, and the individual was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on all warrants without incident.

 

On 12/29/17 at 7:41 p.m., a party reported a Violation of the Pawn Broker`s Act, which occurred in the 5300 block of Highway 119, unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80422. A report was taken.

 

On 12/29/17 when a deputy stopped a vehicle for a headlight out, it was found that someone had switched the plates on the vehicle. The correct plate for the vehicle had been stolen. A report was taken.

 

On 12/29/17 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A DUI investigation was conducted, and the driver was subsequently arrested.

 

On 12/29/17 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Central City and the driver was issued a summons for driving on a revoked license.

 

On 12/31/17 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was found to have 3 active warrants and was driving under restraint. The driver was arrested on the warrants and issued a summons for the driving charges.

 

On 12/31/17 a deputy stopped a vehicle because the driver was known to be driving without a valid driver`s license. The driver was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 12/31/17 a deputy responded to a shooting complaint in unincorporated Gilpin County. A criminal complaint was made, and parties were issued a summons.

 

On 12/31/17 at approximately 3:33 p.m., a deputy heard a call of a REDDI report (report every drunk driver immediately). The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

 

On 12/31/17 a deputy responded to a shooting complaint in unincorporated Gilpin County. A vehicle stop was conducted associated with the shooting complaint. A summons was issued for both traffic and criminal charges.
