Nederland came alive with creativity on July 15 for its Day of Art; a celebration of local artists and the community of Nederland. The day kicked off with the Art Fair and viewing sponsored by Art at the Center from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Visitors got to browse unique pieces including paintings, photography, fiber art, and jewelry.
Following, Nederland Public Art committee hosted a mural walk where participants could walk around town and see a variety of murals and a reception at Kaleidoscope Fine Arts.
There was also no shortage of live music around town. The Train Cars hosted Sarah Banker for an outdoor concert and Salto hosted Windy Pines for a patio show.
A concert followed the art reception at the Nederland Community Presbyterian Church as well as live music around Nederland throughout the day. For participants who wanted to continue the creativity after Day of Art, the Nederland Community Library provided “Take & Make” Art Kits.
