She has studied and shares her love of Desktop Publishing, Graphic Design, Website Design and Podcasting.
Cynthia is the managing Editor and Publisher of the Bosque County Blast, a local news source for Bosque County, Texas.
She has worked at The Mountain-Ear in some capacity since May of 2006. She has been a mentor and friend of Barb Hardt, since she hired Barb in the classifieds department, many years ago.
Cynthia still hops in at a moments notice to create ads and share ideas, two publishers brainstorming together.
She believes Nederland offers a unique mountain area with very interesting people and GORGEOUS mountains.
Cynthia has a degree in Graphic Communications and Design from Tarrant County College.
She loves to focus on creative life experiences. She is a third generation artist with 17 years in design. She has a current focus on digital art and is a Woman Entrepreneur. Cynthia and her partner Arthur are the brains behind the creation of The Mountain-Ear Podcast.
She feels the pull at times of Niwots curse... Upon meeting the first goldseekers in the fall of 1858, Chief Niwot is said to have stated his legendary Curse of the Boulder Valley. According to local lore, Niwot said, “People seeing the beauty of this valley will want to stay, and their staying will be the undoing of the beauty.”
