Dear Editor,
On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Boulder County will host a CWPP Community Engagement open house at the Nederland Community Center (750 Highway 72, Nederland) for the 2024 Boulder County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) Update.
The open house events are an opportunity for the community to learn about the CWPP, visit with Boulder County staff, local municipal managers, and the fire protection districts, and provide input and comments to inform the CWPP development. This will be the second Community Engagement open house in a series of planned events. Information on the CWPP process will be on display and light refreshments will be provided; a short presentation will take place at 10 a.m.
All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend this event. Some information at the October 7 event will be specific to Nederland, Timberline and Coal Creek Canyon Fire Protection Districts. If you missed a previous community engagement event in your area, please feel free to attend this event to provide your input! Additional public meetings are planned for other areas in Boulder County. Some event details are subject to change, so please keep an eye out for future updates.
