Your CSU extension office is moving ahead into spring with the following opportunities in April, 2025:

Butterfly and larva identification training

April 19, 2025 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park

After training, participants can go out and track/monitor what they see as citizen scientists!

As a volunteer monitor for the Monarch Larva Monitoring Program (MLMP) and/or Colorado Butterfly Monitoring Network (CBMN), we will better understand butterfly health, ecology, distribution and diversity across the state. No experience is necessary!

Check out their current inventory availability at: https://csfs.colostate.edu/seedling-tree-nursery/inventory-availability/

The best time to plant in Gilpin County is at the end of May. Please contact the Nursery at CSFS_Trees@colostate.edu or 970-491-8429 with questions or for more information.
