Free Build with Lego: Drop in to create and play! Kids can let their imaginations run free while they construct their own creations using LEGO bricks. Children under eight years old must be accompanied by an adult. All materials are provided. Family Movie Matinee: "The Smurfs." Bring the kids to a free movie and popcorn. This week we will be showing “The Smurfs.” PG. 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Gilpin County Library, 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Ales & Tails: This free outdoor festival will feature a whole host of dog friendly activities to celebrate everyone’s furry friends while raising money for our local mountain rescues and non-profits. Activities range from an agility course, doggie games, a silent auction, and a variety of local pet themed vendors and organizations. 12 to 4 p.m. at 180 Jankowski Drive, Black Hawk.
Wild Turkey Fest: Celebrate the mountain community and wild turkeys with an opening ceremony at the Fire Department at 9 a.m. followed by a pancake breakfast! Vendors will be on hand to offer turkey legs, food, snacks, arts and crafts. Kids will be entertained with a turkey stroll and costume contest plus a coloring contest. Special guests and educational booths will include representatives from the National Wild Turkey Federation, the National Park Service, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Admission is free. Till 3 p.m. at 14863 Highway 7, Allenspark.
Allenspark Farmers Market: Shop local produce, handmade goods and more, all while enjoying the charm of Allenspark. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 14863 Highway 7, Allenspark.
State Senator Marchman Listening Session: Constituents and anyone in the public is welcome who would like to come be heard about issues they are facing. 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Nederland Community Library located at 200 Highway 72, Nederland.

Wildlife Safety Class: This class will cover a range of topics, from recognizing wildlife hazards to learning how to respond to encounters with animals like bears, wolves, and other potentially dangerous wildlife. These classes are beneficial for outdoor workers, recreationalists, and anyone who spends time in areas where wildlife may be present. 6 to 8:30 p.m., Gilpin County Library, 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Wild Bear Group Tour: Join fellow Nederland Area Seniors members on an exclusive tour of the Wild Bear facilities. We will meet at the Nederland Community Center and ride over together in a van provided by Wild Bear. 1 p.m., 750 Highway 72 North, Nederland.

Bingo at Very Nice Gilpin: Casey is the host and will make it a blast for all! 6 to 8 p.m., 180 Jankowski Drive, Black Hawk.
Marvin’s Fly’n Boat: A story for all ages! Join us for a free showing of the documentary “Marvin’s Fly’n Boat” by Brent Warren at the Backdoor Theater. A story of local man, Marvin Lewis, starting to build a model of Howard Hughes’s giant aircraft, the “Spruce Goose” and then an airplane club finishing his dream. Free Peak to Peak People’s Festival: All are welcome to this family-friendly event! Featuring four bands, activities for kids and adults, a visit from a Grassfed Guardians yak, food and drink trucks, public speakers, and information on community vendors. 1 to 7 p.m., The Barn at the Community Center, 250 Norton Drive, Black Hawk.
Fall Leaf Suncatchers: As part of the Nederland’s community-wide Day of Art, we’ll be getting in the leaf-peeping mood by crafting beautiful fall leaf suncatchers. Drop in to pick up a kit and get out there and start selecting your leaves! Or come in and craft in-house with us. 10 to 11 a.m., Nederland Community Library, 200 Highway 72 North, Nederland.
Free Fall Festival: The Boutique will be open for gift shopping. A homemade chili lunch available for purchase.
