Gilpin County First Saturday Artisan Market: Come check out artisan goods and foods accompanied by live music and ice cream. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gilpin Community Center located at 250 Norton Drive, Black Hawk. 

Hilltop Guild Annual Bazaar: Live music, white elephant sale, food, woven items, craft boutique, artists booths, homemade baked goods and jelly. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 18720 Highway 7, Allenspark.

Ned Concert Summer Series: Bring a chair and blanket and get comfortable for some live music in the park! This week’s show will feature Lionel Young Band with Erica Brown and Damon Wood & Harmonious Funk. Starts at 4 p.m. in Chipeta Park, 254 Lakeview Drive, Nederland.

Free Community Waste Clean Up Event: Dispose of community trash for free! There will be a green waste and trash dumpster available. 9 to 2 p.m. at the Nederland School Bus Barn located at 225 Ridge Road.

National Night Out: National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign that enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. These are free, family-friendly events that are open to everyone. Emergency personnel and equipment, food, vendors, give-aways for kids, music, and more. 6 to 9 p.m., Chipeta Park, 254 Lakeview Drive, Nederland.

Trash Talk: We are hosting another Trash Talk event for the Allenspark community. We will discuss recycling systems in Boulder County, and recycling guidelines. We will also answer questions. 5:30 to 7 p.m., The Old Gallery next door to the Transfer Station, 14863 Highway 7, Allenspark.

Smoke On The Water: INSTAAR postdoc MJ Farruggia will speak on how wildfires are affecting water quality in alpine lakes for the Mountain Research Station summer seminar series. 7 to 8 p.m. at 818 County Road 116, Nederland. 

Summer Reading Finale: Chad Wonder will be performing his hilarious and interactive magic show. The show will be followed by ice cream and the Grand Prize drawings for our Summer Reading Program participants. Door prizes will also be raffled off for those in attendance. 10 to 11 a.m. at the Gilpin County Public Library located 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Family Movie Matinee: Bring the kids for free popcorn and a movie as we watch  “Lilo & Stitch” in the meeting room. Rated PG. 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Gilpin County Public Library located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Pet Adoption Event and Fundraiser with Friends of Charlie’s Place: Come to Richman Beer Garden to support Friends of Charlie’s Place. Play pet-themed games to win a prize. All funds raised will support Friends of Charlie’s Place. Free to attend. 5 to 7 p.m. at the Richman Beer Garden located at 100 Richman Street, Black Hawk.

Restoring Wolverines Virtual Workshop: Wolverines are making a comeback to Colorado, and we want you to be part of the conversation! Colorado State University Extension, the Center for Human Carnivore Coexistence, and Defenders of Wildlife are hosting a series of events to explore wolverine ecology, how and why they’re being restored to Colorado, and what it means for our state. Allenspark Clean Up Day: This event is for Allenspark residents; business waste is not accepted at this event. Accepted Materials include: mattresses and box springs, electronic waste, scrap metal, block Styrofoam, single stream recycling, and several household hazardous materials including CFC/Freon containing appliances, oil and latex paint, motor oil, antifreeze, and batteries. No flammables. These materials will be accepted for free and will be diverted from the landfill. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Allenspark Transfer Station located at 14857 Highway 7, Allenspark.
