CCCIA Blood Drive: Seasonal blood drive sponsored by Vitalant. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Coal Creek Canyon Community Center, 31528 Highway 72, Golden.

After Hours in the Stacks: This month we'll start the night off with a Mario Kart Competition and stay for a showing of “Talladega Nights” (PG-13). Competition starts at 4:30 p.m. The movie starts at 6 p.m. Pizza and snacks are provided. Ages 11 to 19 only! No parents or younger siblings allowed. Registration is recommended but not required.

Party in the Peaks: Live music, market vendors, local food trucks, craft brews, cocktails and wines. It’s the perfect mix of mountain vibes, great tunes and community fun. Music by Deadphish Orchestra, River Spell, and Andy Reiner. 10 to 4 p.m., 80 East 2nd Street, Nederland.

Gilpin Grateful Acres Volunteer Round-Up: The barn is done and we are hosting a meet and greet and volunteer round up. We will be organizing volunteer opportunities ranging from event coordinators and social media managers to log wall builders and goat walkers. We will have some yard games available but you are welcome to bring chairs, instruments, games, yard games, picnic lunches, drinks, etc. No grills, dogs, or other animals. Noon to 4 p.m., 32 Elk Meadow Lane, Black Hawk.

Movie Night at The Old Gallery: We will be featuring “Zootopia” (PG). Popcorn is free. Enjoy this special family movie night. 6:30 p.m., The Old Gallery, 14863 Colorado Highway 7, Allenspark.

Recycling Made Easy by PaintCare: Households and businesses can drop off unused paint for recycling or pick up leftover paint in good condition on July 22 in Black Hawk. 1 to 5 p.m. at the Gilpin County Fairgrounds Parking Lot, 230 Norton Drive, Black Hawk.

Talon Talk: In this program, we will dive into the characteristics that define raptors and why they are important to our ecosystems. 10 to 11 a.m. at the Gilpin County Public Library located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Cutthroat Trout Evolution: University of Wyoming Professor of evolutionary biology Katie Wagner speaks about the evolution of native and introduced cutthroat trout in the American West. 7 to 8 p.m. at the CU Mountain Research Station located at 818 County Road 116, Nederland. 

Thursday, July 24

Wild Bear Nature Center Tour: Join us for a complimentary Exclusive Hard Hat Tour of the building site and a short nature walk, followed by a Q&A and a project update with the construction team and other key volunteers. 80s Movie Rewind: Revisit the year 1984 as we watch the timeless classic “Ghostbusters.” 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. at the Gilpin County Public Library located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Very Nice Gilpin One Year Anniversary Party: Help us celebrate one year in wonderful Gilpin County with brews, food, and music! Music from Strangebyrds and Windy Pines, 3 to 8 p.m. and Kaleidoscope Food Truck from 1 to 8 p.m. at Very Nice Gilpin located at 180 Jankowski Drive, Black Hawk.
