Leprechaun Trap Building: Don’t just dream of gold, TRAP IT! Join us for a free, fun-filled Leprechaun Trap Building Makerspace, where we’ll be engineering some crafty ways to lure those sneaky little leprechauns. Who can build the most cunning contraption? Now’s your chance to outsmart that leprechaun or at least just have fun trying! 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Nederland Community Library located at 200 Highway 72. 

Saturday, March 15

St. Patrick's Green Party: Wear your green and come celebrate St. Paddy's for a Belvidere Theater benefit party! 7 p.m. at the Central City Elk's Lodge located at 113 Main Street.

Nederland Repair Cafe: This event is offered to you, completely free, by local volunteers with a knack for repairing items. As long as it’s clean, small, non-toxic or radioactive with OSHA limits, bring it in! No guarantee it will be fixed but most likely, there will be someone there with the skills to help you. Please register at https://repair.nerder.land to sign up as a guest or volunteer. 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the Nederland Community Center located at 750 Peak to Peak Highway.

Wildfire Movie Matinee: FREE screening of “Fire Problem” by Sean O’Brien and Antonio Torres. The movie addresses the impact of extreme wildfires on communities and forests and a Q&A with local experts will follow. Popcorn, snacks, and drinks will be provided. Oscar Movie Preview: Join us for popcorn and a movie as we watch “The Complete Unknown.” Rated R. 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gilpin Public Library located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk. 

Second Annual Frosted Ned Dude Daze: Join us at Knotted Root for a day of frosty fun. We'll have a polar plunge, ice sculpting, a silent disco, “You're My Boy Blue Ball” costume party and contest, special beer releases, delicious food trucks, and more! This is a free, all ages event. Noon to 10 p.m. at 250 North Caribou Street, Nederland.

Tri-County Unity for Democracy: If you want to do something about the anger and / or frustration you feel from what is happening to our country, come join your neighbors to combine efforts and share resources. We are just getting started and are about action both at home and outside. We bow to no king and are stronger together! 12 to 2 p.m. at the Gilpin County Public Library located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

St. Patrick’s Day Potluck: Bring your favorite Irish dish and enjoy some live Celtic music from The Gael Again at the Very Nice Nederland Tap Room! Potluck starts at 5 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m. at 20 Lakeview Drive.

NICE Talks: Community members speaking on mountain topics. Meet people with similar interests as well as have an opportunity to listen, discuss, and learn something new! The speaker for this week will be Ella Zevenbergen on Integrative Bodywork. 6:30 to 7 p.m. at the Very Nice Gilpin Tap Room located at 180 Jankowski Drive, Black Hawk.

Trivia: Come rack your brain with some trivia at BOTH Very Nice Tap Room locations. 7 to 9 p.m. Very Nice Nederland is located at 20 Lakeview Drive and the Gilpin Tap Room is located at 180 Jankowski Drive, Black Hawk.

Family Movie Matinee: Bring the kids for free popcorn and a movie as we watch a family-friendly film in the meeting room. This week’s movie is “Moana 2” rated PG. 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Gilpin County Public Library located at 13151 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Movies and Talks: We will watch “Brave New World,” rated PG-13, and discuss why books are banned. Join us for this movie and conversation. Light snacks will be provided. Everyone is welcome. 2 p.m. at the Gilpin County Public Library located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Advocate for Libraries: Roadtrip with your favorite Nederland librarians to the State Capitol to meet with our Representatives and share stories on the importance of libraries. Advocacy lunch to follow. Email nederlandlibrary@nedlib.org for more information. Leaving Nederland at 7 a.m.

Thursday, March 27

Nederland Area Seniors Meet and Greet: Meet us in the Senior Lounge to socialize, play ping pong and board games, and learn about our programs if you’re interested! Light refreshments will be served. 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Senior Lounge in the Nederland Community Center located at 750 Peak to Peak Highway.
