Children’s Storytime: Stories! Song! Movement! Music! Play! Every Friday morning from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. we hold storytimes for ages 0 to 4 years old. From 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. we read books, sing songs, learn some ASL, and get the wiggles out! From 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. we have free play, bring out the toys and bubbles and get to know other kids, parents and caregivers. Meet in the Community Room at the Nederland Community Library located at 200 Highway 72.

Gilpin Football Club: All are welcome to join us Saturdays and Sundays during the football season. Don's Gilpin Football Club will be showing all Colorado Football College games as well as particularly popular games on Saturdays with Bronco Football parties on Sundays and any football game available upon request. Come One, Come All to the Elks Lodge in Central City! Saturday 12 p.m. - close, Sunday 1 p.m. - close. Located at 1600 Colorado Boulevard in Idaho Springs.

Nederland Writers: Bring something you are working on to share and get feedback on or join the group to listen in and hone your skills. The Mountain Meditation Circle: A free and open group that has been meeting every Monday evening at 6 p.m. for the last four years at Gilpin County Public Library. New participants are always welcome. New members will need to provide their contact information prior to attending their first meeting. Wild Bear Story Time: We will read books, sing songs, play, and move together, all while fostering early ecological literacy. Join us for fun, friends and community! 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 20 Lakeview Drive in Nederland.
STEAM Club: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math activities hosted for kids grades 1-4 at the Nederland Community Library. Club meets every Tuesday through the end of October. There will be a shuttle running directly from Nederland Elementary to the Library after school and the meeting ends at 5 p.m. Register at https://nederland.libcal.com.

Children’s Story Time: Join us every Wednesday morning for our Children's story time. Most of our children range from 0-5 years of age but all children are welcome. Enjoy stories, fingerplays, rhymes, and more. A themed craft will follow every storytime. The previous week's crafts are available while supplies last. Starts at 10 a.m. at the Gilpin County Public Library located at 15131 Highway 119.
Lunch Hour Book Discussion: October's book is Louise Erdrich’s The Sentence. Copies will be available at the Circulation desk. Mountain Pine Beetle Workshop: Have you noticed dead or dying pine trees on your property? Are you concerned about the current mountain pine beetle infestation? Join us for a free workshop! CSU Extension Director and Educator Jennifer Cook and Kelby Woodard of the Clear Creek Watershed and Forest Health Partnership will guide participants in tree identification, recognizing the signs of beetle infestations, best practices in infestation management, and more.

Chocolate Caliente Story Time: Join us for delicious Mexican hot chocolate! Enjoy sipping and listening while we read children’s books in Spanish. You can also craft a simple Dia de los Muertos Paper Mask or take it home with you to decorate later. 4 to 5 p.m. at the Nederland Community Library located at 200 Highway 72.
Sugarloaf Craft Fair: A benefit for the Sugarloaf Fire Department. See fine handmade crafts, enjoy home baked goods and participate in a silent auction! 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fire Station 2 located at 1360 Sugarloaf Road.

Just-For-Fun Fall Kids’ Talent Show: We invite kids to come on out and share their talents, skills and passions! Each child will have up to 3 minutes to perform a song, dance, or routine; tell a joke; share a poem; etc. Age groups are 2-5 years old, and 5-8 years old. This fun evening will be hosted by the wonderful Gala, and all participants win a prize and certificate! Starts at 5 p.m. at the Nederland Community Library.
