Ellen Moore, Nederland. Carver Scott Harrison’s Council of Kindness sculptures, with the help of ten extraordinary friends, has relocated to Medicine Horse Program in East Boulder, at 8778 Arapahoe Road.

Several locals hoped the Council could remain in Nederland, but that wasn’t possible. Many locals visited the Council of Kindness at the Village Shopping Center while it was here in Ned and agreed that the Council would make a retreat, a meditative environment for individuals or small groups. Scott will revisit the placement of the Council after a couple or three years and see if the folks: therapists and clients, are finding it a useful space.
Every year Medicine Horse holds an Open House in summer, so those locals so inclined can visit Scott’s birds, wolf, dolphin, rhino, giraffe and bear, as well as the horses at Medicine Horse facility.
Meanwhile Scott’s Carousel of Happiness thrives here in Nederland and we are always looking for shop and garden volunteers to help serve riders with tickets and merchandise, and caring hands for the mature garden and the brand new garden being installed as I write.
We’re planning a September COH Fund-raiser that we hope everyone will attend and support, another Ned-style Black Tie Event “Animals After Dark”. The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2019. There will be food and drink, music, live and silent auctions.
Meanwhile bring your summer guests to the Carousel and treat them all to “Don’t Delay Joy!” T-shirts.
