Here’s the thing: I wouldn’t call myself a coffee drinker, but I sure do love to drink Chai. If you’ve never had it, I would only recommend it if you can find real chai; not the sugar-filled type that’s way too sweet that one can find anywhere. Unless you don’t like drinks that are on the spicy side. Then, I still invite you to grab your favorite beverage and join me for the ride.
It was during one of my many travels that I found myself in Buena Vista, Googling for the nearest coffee shop. I had been driving for hours and was ready to stretch my legs and for a little pick-meup. Many options came up, but being the picky person that I am, I wasn’t about to settle for the first one that appeared. I’ve done that way too many times (especially with jobs); let’s just say lesson learned and I will never be settling for anything ever again.
Suddenly, there it was, the coolest name – or so I thought – for a small coffee shop. I was intrigued, and by the photos alone I could tell it had that quintessential Colorado character that I love so much. I parked, approached with a grin on my face, and immediately I knew I had made a good decision.
As you enter, you pass through the cutest little gift shop. Everything from bears (not real ones), lamps, frames, wood carvings, wind chimes, and ideal mountain décor was at your fingertips. To top it off, there were plenty of options for coffee, lattes, chai, other various drinks, and burritos. Yum! This place was super cool and right up my alley; super laid back, filled with Colorado vibe, and just what I was looking for.
The scent and taste of cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, anise, and clove always perks me up. Add to this, the charm of a quaint mountain coffee shop and kind service, and I am one happy gi
