Comprehensive Plan public open house

Dear Editor,

The Town of Nederland is updating in Comprehensive Plan, a policy document that guides future growth and sets long-range priorities and policies. The new Comprehensive Plan will replace the current plan, which was written in 2013—a lot has changed in that time!

The new document will recalibrate Town’s goals and policies to reflect current dynamics and address critical topics like economic development, land use, environmental resilience, and housing. This plan will guide key decisions in the community for the next 10 years.

To successfully update the Comprehensive Plan, the planning team relies heavily on community input. Residents of Nederland are invited to be contributors during this process.

Please join the planning team for a Public Open House from 5-7 p.m. on January 23 at the Community Center (in the upstairs Community Room). Attendees will have the chance to provide their input on the direction of the plan and interact with the project team and their neighbors. Community members are welcome to drop in any time from 5-7 p.m. and stay as long as they like.

If you can’t make it to this event, stay tuned for future engagement opportunities. Learn more about the Comprehensive Plan Update on the Engage Nederland Website.
